Took some time to be in the market, and still, lot of tweaks would need to be done... Edit: I don't even want to see when Steve from Gamer Nexus get his hands on this case for review. He's going to be mad. Like, a LOT. Edit2: Here's another review by BPS Customs (thanks MSim for the link). My initial response when looking at the white one when pre order came available was positive, however after seeing this review kind of glad I didn't make the preorder.

Agreed although I was interested in a black one but the huge white branding and white border turned me off. It turns out both of those can be removed easily but the over all design of the interior turned me off altogether.

DG-77 case $149 - The front panel restricts air-flow
- No dust filter at the top
- The PSU filter is one of the worst filters i've seen on a $120+ case
- Tacky branding on the case
- Pointless rear plastic cover
- No type-C on the front ports
I agree with HardwareCanucks, the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M SE case has a better overall design, plus it costs less. I been thinking about picking up that case for awhile now.

After seeing those reviews, I arranged to return my DG-77 before it even arrived. Its a shame, because I like EVGA products. I'll be buying either an NZXT H700i, Phanteks, or Corsair case.

I personally have no interest in buying any midsize case, but I wanted to ask a question about the top filter.
What is the purpose of a top dust filter since 99% of those fans exhaust air? Is it just to keep things from falling in? I ask because I have always had radiators up top, and I rarely set anything on top of my case, I have never considered needing a filter up there.

Hardwareasylum gave what i call a pure lip service review. - Didn't mention the cheap PSU filter on a $150 case
- Didn't mention no wire grommets to help hide the wires on a $150 case
- Didn't mention no top filter, when less expensive cases come with quality filters for the top/front/psu
- Didn't mention K-Boost only works on evga mobo and nvidia gpu's
- Didn't mention front tempered glass restricts airflow causing higher temps

The top filter helps to prevent stuff falling in, keeps dust out when the system is off. Did you see how cheap evga went on the PSU filter. That's bad for a $169 MSRP case.

The 10 degree drop is about the same I get from leaving off the front panel on my DG-87 case. Whoever is designing the front of these newer cases needs to be fired. The front panel on the both of the DG series has been an airflow nightmare, and yes it was a design flaw that still needs to be addressed.

Looked into getting one of these. Lack of white availability from the lower tiers killed that desire. Went with a Phanteks P400 tempered glass all metal gloss white for $80 which was almost half the price for a white EVGA......

The black case is so beautiful though (after removing the white border and white text off of the side panel). If you have RGB inside, the dark tint is just the right amount of tint, in my opinion. I think that I could let a lot of the nit-picky things slide.

It's hard to tell just how dark the tint is from the videos. If its too dark that will make it hard to see the hardware inside without some bright lights in the case.

Looking at the youtube comments, it's safe to say lots of people agree with you. I made a feedback thread for the DG-7* case on January 9th 2017. EVGA asked popular reviewers at CES if they liked the branding, which most of them said NO from what i hear. All of that went in one ear and out the other at evga.

IMO, not sincere reviews. No bad points were made in any of the two.

Tech of Tomorrow is a joke of a reviewer. He doesn't point out any issues with the case design, like you see from other reviewers.

Yup. True that. Only posted it for the record on the forums. He said he will be soon making a video building it up. When this is avaible, I will post it here only for people who would like to refer to it.

I am configuring my next system, and started with the thought of EVGA all-the-way. I don't think optical drives are dead just yet, but (if I read everything correctly), this case doesn't have one nor do I see a way to add an internal optical drive. DG-8 same problem. Their Hadron small cases have it though (but not my dream case due to limited expansion capabilities). I can't be the only guy left using optical drives... ?? !!

If you take a closer look, evga is using the same budget inside of the case for the DG-7* series. The only difference between DG-75, DG-76, DG-77 on the inside that i can see. The DG-76/77 both have RGB branding logo's and RGB control board. the DG-75 does not. All 3 cases have the same 2 dust filters*, the front and the ultra cheap dust filter for the PSU. $170 for a mid-tower case, it best be loaded with premium features like: - Grommets
- Easy to remove premium dust filters (Top/Front/PSU)
- Built-in wire management clips
- Self retaining panel screws
- Included fans that match the case color
- Easy radiator mounting bracket
- No tacky branding all over the case
Like HardwareCanucks put it, DG-77 is the DG-75 with lipstick. The insides are basically the same, while the outside has lipstick.

I have to agree that the white looks good. Wish they did a full tower in white. I just like having more space.

No problem, glad it help in someway. Oh, if it worth the suggestion, the new H series from NZXT are looking very nice at all points as well.

I honestly don't know how to feel about it. While I like some things I hate others. Overall I must say the reviewers above are mostly right with their criticisms and I think, for now at least, I'll stick to my S340VR Elite
