This turned out better than I expected so I wanted to share.

This holder is an old Phillips CD Rom I had that I tore apart and just used the metal case, the drive was broken anyway ;) If you look close you can see one of the tiny black O-Rings that I use to keep the bottom of the drive from being metal on metal.

You can see where my grinder heated up the metal enough to actually burn the label on the bottom...LOL

I'm not sure if I want to use this adapter or not, I've heard that these don't supply enough power and as expensive as these SSD are I don't want to take a chance of damaging them.

^ are those the supplied EVGA adapaters?

Ive used them to power both my blu-ray and dvd-rw drives perfectly fine.

Pretty clever cheap way to mod your old I/O drive ^^ but wouldnt you want to show them off???

and I think somethings wrong with your photos. everything looks fat n wide >.<

SSDs don't use that much power when compared to mechanical HDs, which is what that adapter was build for. I doubt you will have power issues.

Yes, these adapters came with my 780i board.

Aside from hanging these somewhere on the ouside of the case I'm not sure what you mean by "show off"

Yeah, I'm no photographer, I uploaded the images to Photobucket.... I blame them !!!   LOL

Yeah, I posted the picture over on OCZ forum and a couple of users there said it should work fine and even a mod posted and said I shouldn't have a problm with it. One said these SSD's don't use a 3V orange wire, so I guess I'm going to give it  go and see if they function. I was glad to get the feedback I did over there, because with that adapter it makes powering them so convenient especially since I plan on running them in a raid 0 array.
