This blows.  I've been a loyal EVGA customer for a very long time and I don't play any of these games.  Whatever EVGA, ASUS likes my money too. 


Companies can't makes everyone happy. If you don't want to play the games set in the free giveaways, don't play.

If the game was a gift, it isn't a purchase, and some of the games are free, so no, the terms do not contradict themselves in this respect.



 
How many adults get games as gifts and starting your argument with "If" is well, pretty iffy. As far as the second half of your argument, where can I find these free games without having to pay some sort of membership? I would like to know so I can participate.

Just want to say thanks for having a giveaway! I've been logging in a couple hours between BF4, CSGO, and now a bit of Left 4 dead 2. To be honest, however, there aren't that many people playing on the EVGA servers when I get online. Earlier, I could only choose to play on the BF4 Brazil server because it was the only one populated. The CSGO US server was also empty, maybe I saw 2 or 3 other players at that time. It would be nice if we had other community members there to enhance the experience! Oh well, at least there will be more chances to win prizes if there are less people ;) jk I'm trying to get to the level 3 prize pool because I won't be able to log more than 20 hours of gameplay!

I would have to assume, since no one responded to my post from 3 days ago, that the rules do contradict themselves and that some sort of purchase is required to participate in this event. Unless of course you are the fortunate adult that received one of the required games as a gift. How unethical! Thanks Scarlet-T. for getting involved enough to not give me someplace where I can play the games for free, like you said, so that I could be a part of this competition.

Any chance EVGA will add other games to their gaming events? Perhaps newer titles that people play on a regular basis. Just wondering as it gets pretty difficult to get to top tier prize when not many people play these older games anymore.

I think you are thinking of the 18th anniversary event.  The latest event just finished a couple of hours ago I think (at the time I posted this).  The results for that are coming by the 8th of September I believe ... although the Terms and conditions say you have 14 days to respond and yet also have to claim by the 15th ... not sure of the logic there but something doesn't quite add up.  My money is that it's coming on the 8th and you have 14 days to respond but check the competition page from time to time ... the winners should be posted there I would think ... certainly they will be posted on the website somewhere.

Well I am anyway!  Just responding to Skorps123 and Scarelet-Tech (should have quoted them sorry!).  Yes the High Noon Gaming Event (the link on the page leads to this discussion).  I too only barely made it to 35 hours, but I do like the breakdown of the contest.  A friend only had time for 5 hours but there are still some nice chances there too.

Ahh ... that's a bit harsh!  The click and win event was posted and there could be any one of a number of reasons why the gaming event is late.  Even if they end up being a few days late it's not the end of the world.  Don't stress ... rack up some more gaming hours in the meantime :)
