I'm really excited about this upgrade. Corsair iCue-Link involves massively reducing the amount of cables to interconnect devices such as fans and AIO Coolers. Here you will see the wiring mess before the upgrade:

I love the 'time warp' effect for the fans. This build is not finished. I need to straighten up and tie up cables, add two more fans, etc. I need to get the build ready to work so I can use the PC early tomorrow morning.

OK today I have straightened all the cables and added two additional iCue-Link fans to the rear. I need one more fan but that is on backorder.

This is the absolutely best way to reduce cable clutter especially if you have lots of fans.

Nice. I've seen Jay do some videos on those, but was curious how it looked in a full build.

I had to cut all of the cable zip-ties again and I need to reorganize the cables but maybe it's best to use velcro ties.

Velcro ties are very handy during the planning stages

Did you have to replace all fans, AIO & maybe other items, besides the hubs; to use the new mono-cable system for fan/ pump power & aRGB? Looks like a nice system for those with glass on both sides of the case. Did it make a big impact on the glass side of the build? Did the cables seem long enough for a full tower sized case or best for mid-sized & smaller cases?

Yes I had to get the new Corsair AIO for iCue-Link and all new fans as well. The provided cables were more than enough for the length. In fact I probably bought too many cables.

Man rjohnson11, you've really neated those cables up greatly ! Spiffy . If I understand correctly, that is sort of a serial cable system from a fan controller hub to the fans ? Too The Moon !

Basically you daisy chain all the components together. Data and power are routed through all of the components. Each iCue-Link hub can handle 14 devices.

Did you upgrade for better performance / benchmark results or to increase the total RAM? I like the led look better than the old RAM with the many small windows

I upgraded to EXPO ram (AMD) and that is a bit easier in the ASRock BIOs to set up.

I have set up the ram for a slight EXPO overclock. The ram is 6000MHZ, but is now running at a very stable 6200MHZ.

Quite an improvement RJ, you did a nice job. I think they should have provided a way for owners of the old fans to use this system. Great looking system.

How is the ASRock motherboard treating you? I haven't heard many first hand accounts of people using them. Skatterbencher had done some OC guides with the Intel Z Taichi boards and they seemed quite good.

Today I worked on removing the cable guard which took some time to do. Had to remove the AIO, video card, and side fans to do this. However the results are really good so here is what I believe to be the final iCue-Link build:
