Corsair SF750 - failure after one year of using the pigtail of death with 3080 TI

VGA 8 pin plug completely frayed and exposed.  Part of the plug broke off in the PSU when removing
 
System is an i7-11700k, 32gb ddr4 3600, EVGA 3080 TI.  System is fine thankfully but PSU and plugs are obviously roasted
 
Symptoms were black screening suddenly yesterday, self reboots/power offs and finally a distinct burnt smell.
 
Pigtail of death is anecdotally true as far as I'm concerned now.

    Start the RMA process with Corsair. Make sure you include in the Corsair RMA request your proof of purchase.

    Wanted to show a first hand occurrence.  I was dubious before but no longer

    after 4 business days, I'd try their social media pages or calling ... see when one should expect a reply
