s1ngular If I join the Chimp Challenge will my points goto my s1ngular account and EVGApes or just EVGApes? The point you put up during the CC go to just the apes. The stat system will view us as "one folder" and we'll have around 300 clients (nice). Based on your stats you shouldn't have any problem hitting the 350K for the month of May. So join up we NEED everyone we can get.

Change made to reflect the CPU/SMP issue. I'm a bottle of wine into Saturday night so let me know if you think it needs tweaking.

I'm thinking about participating and so far have followed the guide on the FAH Tracker by Jedi. In terms of the EOC ID, I just clicked the Get EOCID button. Is this ok?

NazcaC2 I'm thinking about participating and so far have followed the guide on the FAH Tracker by Jedi. In terms of the EOC ID, I just clicked the Get EOCID button. Is this ok? That's fine. You will not have an EOC number until you have completed a work unit (WU) and you have stats from Stanford. Once you've completed a work unit give it about 4 hours or so, then go to here: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=111065 and do a search for your folding name in the box on the left. Then it will pop up a sheet with your stats. If you look up in the URL, there will be a set of numbers at the end of the string, that's your EOC number/ID Good Luck, let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks. Should I set my username to EVGApes now even though the competition doesn't start until later? Also, I went to the URL on Step 1 in the OP to get my passkey earlier and I've received it.

Yes I'ts working, I am able to run a cpu wu and a gpu wu. A few questions though: 1. I found my old passkey and Barbarossa sent pm'd me another, does it matter which one I use? 2. I have 2 cards in but only gpu1 will run a wu on the client I can't seem to activate gpu0 no matter what I do, is there a way to get both cards going ? Thanks

As long as you have a valid CC Passkey, you should be OK. I don't know where you got the first Passkey, but as long as it came from one of the Team leaders, it would be OK. On the GPU question, do you have both of the GPU's check boxes selected in the Config screen (copy of my screen below).

If your original passkey has not been primed under EVGApes, you will NOT get bonus points until you have compleated 10 W/U's with a > 80% ratio, the one you were sent by a EVGA team member should be Pre primed, and ready to produce.

MB, a couple of questions.
Did you hit the "auto detect" button? Are both GPU0 and GPU1 checked? Do you have the gpus setup in SLI?
Let us know because you should be able to fold on both of them.

Thanks for the input. I uninstalled/reinstalled the tracker and followed your suggestions, viola - both cards are now processing WUs and my cpu is in SMP squeezing out a few points with 2 of 4 cores. And yes my 560Ti SC cards are in SLI atm. Thanks again ! not sure what I snagged on the first try but it's working now.

To get the bonus points for your smp clients (regular and bigadv), you´ll need a passkey. You can either use your own (but have to qualify it again for EVGApes) or one of our pre-primed, so that you get bonus points right away. Everybody that still has one from last years Chimp Challenge, you´re good to go, those are still good. Please contact one of the following persons to get your copy of the passkey: Punchy mflanaga AcesofDeath7 Rjbelans and Barbarossa Keep in mind to start your smp/bigadv in time, so that we come out the gate full swing, and don´t have to catch up speed later.

It may not be necessary to have the passkey but it will not hurt to have it either. How about elaborating on the signup form? How do I estimate my PPD? And what is the reason to provide such number? I have no idea what to type in, surely you (as a team I mean) are able to track all statistics and find estimates on your own :) I folded just one WU in the past and stopped because I couldn't stand the coil whine noise on my GTX570 but I can try enduring a little torment for the challenge ;) If it turns out to be too much for my ears I will stop again after a unit or two (every bit helps right? :).

welcome to the forum zaba19! And yes, every little bit helps! I guess that´s you. So your EOC id would be 553160. The 24h average with a GTX 570 would be ~15000 ppd. Those numbers were only to get an estimate of our projected output. You don´t have to fill it in.

I would suggest if you'r going to be using a 570 just put in 12,000. That might be low, but it was just for our own purposes anyway. Good luck and welcome to the team.
