Any news when germany will get some supply? I'm worried since the german website hasn't even been updated to include the X299 products... I'm sitting on a very hot seat eagerly waiting with my 12 core and all the other stuff ready to go, because the Micro is the only part missing

Sure! It will be great. Actually it offers very low latency. EVGA boards all have very good VRM/mosfets. I guess the Micro can theoretically put out around 400A of wattage. So no issue there. The key is to keep the VRMs cool ;) That's why I'm putting a waterblock on them. I'll be posting pictures. Will post a worklog on hardwareluxx, a german forum. Might post it here, too, if desired, translated of couse.

me and a few others I know, are also waiting for the fullsized X299 motherboards. The latest i9's are out, the 18core one, and there is no motherboard I would trust more than a Classified X299.... so I am waiting.

I would get the EVGA X299 Micro if it had two Bios but not one, so have to wait for the X299 Dark.

Thanks... but couple of weeks could mean anything really :/ Too bad I need mATX. Really want to start a worklog project of mine. Hope it's worth the wait. Price is definetly 50€ more than I expected here in Germany.

I've been saying this for awhile now, at least a few months. It's a little crazy they do not have a board out, except the Micro which I feel no one wants. Who builds an enthusiast desktop with such high end parts but goes Micro ATX and compact ? It's like people trying to cram desktop components into a 1cm thick laptop, and arguing that it can't be done.

You can build an enthusiast level machine in a microATX format. Nothing says it has to be this giant case. I have been thinking in building a mITX gaming rig, 8700k and z370 iTX board with a 1080 Ti housed in a Lian Li PC-Q37. Would be a slick little powerhouse if you ask me.

+1

mATX should be the most efficient option for most consumers actually. In this day and age where SLI dies due to the lack of proper support in AAA game titles, with all the cost and complications involved and the level of performance achieved these days by a single card like the 1080Ti who goes SLI anymore? Just look up the hardware survey of Steam for example. So if you don't go SLI what's the point of ATX? You get all the same features in mATX boards (with still space for SLI if you really want) you can still add a sound card or pci add-in card for additional m.2 mounts.

I find it much more attractive now to put all the performance into a smaller enclosure. And I've gone the bigorexia route with a 900D in the past which was difficult to fill up so it doesn't look "empty". But I feel the tides have changed especially in mainstream.

People are just misinformed about the Micro. It packs the same level of VRM components like the bigger boards. I've posted a table of VRM comparisons in the forums that compared all the X299 launch board's VRMs.

well for some of use, that like to go (Word deleted by Mod) to the wall and hair on fire 4/way sli till I can't make it work . the numbers u are getting with your 1 card is fine if that makes you happy . but for me it's not . there is only 4 mb that support 4/way sli 2 are  asus and I will never trun a computer on again before I build one of them again. boards a are good there not so mush. asrock x299oc and the x299 dark , I want a dark but I will just wate just so long lol. I would love to get into ln2 cooling but owell , I well just have to just go for sub zero phase change cooling . more in my range. yes took me some time to work out 4/way with the pascals in every thing . but I can tell you NVidia made one bad card the job they do is insane but this is me not for others .

What difference does it make to have 4 video cards? I have an SLI rig with 2 1080 Ti in SLI and the second card is sitting idle in most games I currently play and in the few that use it, I am getting 50 to 60% usage in each card, sometimes as low as 40%. I get the same frame rates either way. If you have enough money to have 3 video cards sitting idle, shoot me some  :D
