Yeah we spend close to a thousand bucks on a video card so we can enjoy crisp high resolution graphics and then they keep going and pouring this smudge and blur all over the place.  AC Valhalla is the latest game to allow you to enjoy the simulation of getting eye cataracts.   I've turned off Motion Blur, DoF and AA down to "Low" (Another crime is not letting you turn it off completely)

Can anybody see anything in the ACValhalla.ini that can get rid of this hideous blur? AA seems to be set to zero but it looks like they might have some nasty baked in post processing blurring going on.

Obviously I can't see what you are seeing - but I haven't noticed any blurriness in my game.

Have you tried googling some videos on the settings.?

In the history of gaming there is no type of AA, to my eyes, that doesn't instantly turns textures into smudgy, washed out blur and AC Valhalla is the first in the series that forces you to have it on at a minimum, wont let you turn it off.    There's also more, a washed out layer of...something across the screen too.

Anyways, thanks for the help but that's all pretty basic amateur stuff, articles showing you simply how to change options within in the game settings ;)  I was hoping more for a DLL injector or mods that rip the AA and the other blur from the game but I think I found something.   A realistic reshade at Nexus.   Look carefully at the two shots.  You should be able to see a difference between the before and after,  the disappearance of that purple/brown sheen.  First is the Vanilla, second is this stuff removed:

Notice the level of detail became way more clearer in especially the rocks and the water? Also that dirty sheen across the scene is gone.  The first vanilla image it's all smudged together, killing the detail.

Hopefully this helps others if they are like me can't stand forced blurriness in modern games.

Hey while I'm thinking of it, do you know how the disguise ability works?  I am the tutorial part where you first use it and I walk in but the guards still see me.  I have tried it over a dozen times and every time their detection counters start going off.  I don't get it, how is the disguise meant to work? Thanks

Yes, I've noticed the stealth/ disguise mechanism is extremely hard .... you only get a brief 5 secs or so , then you have to be in a crowd of people or interacting with things around you .
It's probably more realistic than it should be, I guess.  .. but it can be done.

    Thanks!

Okay so basically the disguise just decreases the distance the guards start getting suspicious, lol I was thinking it was supposed to totally cloak you hehe.

And yes, while I enjoyed Odyssey it felt just like Origins with a greek reskin.  This game however feels totally different and the challenge is awesome and you can play it like a real assassin, even though it's not forced upon you to play it that way.   It's the best of the three in terms of gameplay.
