I just got an EVGA GTS 450 1gb in a trade and noticed it has three digital outputs (2 DVI, 1 mini HDMI).

I know that a GTX 670 can run three monitors at once with the latest drivers, so I was wondering if it was possible on GTS 450. I've searched the forums and web and only found answers from a year ago before the current drivers were available.  I dont have a mini-hdmi adapter to test it out myself yet and will have to wait a week.

I've replaced both GTX 260's with this single GTS 450 and it seems to run everything a little smoother with the same or higher settings. Lower temps, Less power consumption, and if it can run 3 monitors...it will be a permanent replacement.

I am pretty sure the answer will be no since that is a low end card with only a gig of memory.

No. You can have the 3rd connected, for instance, a HDTV to mini-HDMI, enable it after disabling the second dvi. Only with the 600 series, are 3 at once allowed... Adaptive V-sync is retroactive to earlier series cards, but not multiple monitors, only 2 at a time.

Only two any any one time, those extra ports are just options if case you have the displays for them, and toggle between them.

    1. GTS450 was not a low-end card.  It was mainstream of the day, GT430 was low-end, while GTX460 was midrange.  Offering as many types of graphics cards points to how many types of customers there are.
    2. Next time ask someone what their preference of details, preference of frame rates and which program (or games) before you make assumptions about Vram needs.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

Thank you all for your answers, you are all correct, it does not support 3 monitors at once.

This morning I managed to find a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable from a kodak camera and an HDMI to DVI adapter. had to scoot my computer closer to the monitors for the cable to reach but It would not run all three.  Someday i'll get a 6 series...

This GTS 450 runs BF3 at 1680x1050 on high at around 40 FPS  while my GTX 260's would have to run lower settings or they would run out of memory and cause random stuttering.
