Call of Duty: Warzone will soon support Nvidia's DLSS technology | OC3D News (overclock3d.net)

At their CES 2021 "Game On" event, Nvidia announced that DLSS is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing one of the company's key technologies to one of the world's most popular PC games.

Nvidia's DLSS technology utilises the AI performance of Nvidia's RTX series graphics cards to deliver higher performance levels within supported PC titles. This is accomplished by upscaling lower-resolution frames to create higher resolution versions, reducing the workload on RTX-powered graphics cards to increase framerates. The best part about DLSS is that this can deliver similar image quality levels to natively rendered images, offering nigh-identical and sometimes higher quality results.

Bringing DLSS to Call of Duty Warzone gives Nvidia a huge advantage over AMD, as AMD/Radeon don't have a technology that can compete with DLSS. For gamers, DLSS is effectively a free performance upgrade for Geforce RTX users. With Warzone's DLSS patch, Nvidia RTX GPU users will soon have a free performance upgrade.

It will be nice in my opinion to have a nice performance boost at no cost.

DLSS has shown really amazing results and in a game like Warzone FPS is king but you also want the image to look good so I consider it a win win.

DLSS is really interesting tech.  I am interested to see how it impacts the FPS genre, as I have plenty of friends that play on low to get max fps.  I can't do it myself, as I am somewhat of a quality snob.  Thus, DLSS may end up being my saving grace to play FPS games that still look decent at a high enough framerate to still give me an edge....

    Best quote I've ever heard:
Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.

I am a visual snob , so for me  DLSS adds that little bit of smeary, blur that annoys me.
I only use it if I have no choice, or try to keep it on low .

In my experience that is only when you use performance mode. If you use Balanced, you get far less of that. Quality you just get a straight up better picture especially for far away items like fences and stuff. This is what i have observed in war thunder and cold war, haven't tried some of the other games DLSS yet.
