https://www.vortez.net/news_story/corsair_launch_the_icue_ql_rgb_series_fans_with_34_addressable_leds.html CORSAIR, a world leader in PC gaming peripherals and enthusiast components, today announced a new line of PC cooling fans to elevate the aesthetics of any build: CORSAIR iCUE QL RGB PWM fans. Available in 120 mm and 140 mm sizes, every QL RGB fan features quad light loops lit by a total of 34 individually addressable RGB LEDs, creating incredible visuals from either side. Multi-fan kits of QL RGB fans are bundled with a CORSAIR iCUE Lighting Node CORE RGB Lighting Controller, capable of controlling the lighting for up to six CORSAIR RGB fans at once through CORSAIR iCUE software. No other RGB fan comes close to the brightness and vibrancy of QL RGB. With inner and outer light loops on both the front and back of the fan, it is uniquely capable of intricate, bright, and detailed lighting effects that impress from any angle, regardless of whether it's used for intake or exhaust. A semi-transparent fan blade allows the RGB lighting to shine through, while a durable machined aluminium hub cover on either side completes the QL RGB's stunning look. QL RGB fans are available in kits of 3x 120 mm and 2x 140 mm, as well as single packs of each. Triple and Dual kits both include an iCUE Lighting Node CORE RGB Lighting Controller. Single packs cost $44.99/$49.99, and the kits cost $139.99/$119.99 respectively for the 120 and 140 mm sizes in the USA. QL RGB fans are backed by a two-year warranty and the CORSAIR worldwide customer service and technical support network. I have to admit that the Corsair engineers really exceeded my expectations with these fans.

I wonder how they perform as rad fans. Not a fan of the housing design as I wish they used the same LL120 design and just added another layer of RGB on the other side. The new design looks cheap to me.

One of these days I'll have to try the Corsair stuff. It's just soooooo expensive. Does their software only control their products? Even if I replaced all my fans I'd still have the light strips from my case (built in) and the LED ring on my reservoir to control.

These look great but having installed 16 LL fans in a 1000d the biggest missed feature here is to just daisy chain the fans like many fans do now. The cable work is insane.

That top case only looks to have $929.92 in case fans installed in it based on the top right six looking to be push pull for a total of 20 fans or 6 of the three packs at $139.99 each and two of the single fans at $44.99. Totally reasonable to spend over $900 for the case fans for a build.... It is an impressive looking fan and I know that case does have an unrealistic number of fans in it but I kind of think the discount should be more. Also it looks like the 3 pack is the only way to get the node.

You can order the node separately from Corsair if needed

I built a system with 6 LL's in it and the cable management just about drove me insane. Cant even imagine 16 of them. The double fan tail set up can be frustrating. I think the new QL fans look really good, but the price is unreasonable. And after reading several reviews, they point out that while the fans look good, they're kind of lacking a bit in the thermal department.
