I don't know if I should be waiting for the 970 FTW with 2.0. I've been reading around elsewhere (beside all the noise issue threads on this site), and see more reason to be scared. I'm definitely going to wait until one of you get it and give a review. There's a thread on anandtech showing some weird manufacturing on the 970 with 2.0. The smaller heatsink isn't covered. There are other pics from other reviews as well. Hoping to hear from reps about all these issues because I love my EVGA products. But for once I'm not rushing on it.

To me personally this is more of a concern then the heat issues. My HAF 932 case can spit out heat like its nothing and I was all about to click the purchase button until I saw this picture many hours ago. Reddit is having a field day about this issue as well. Link here

Interesting... Well From that pic it looks like the two thickest pipes are doing the work. Not to mention, the size of the CPU does not look like it would have as much surface contact to the pipes if they aligned/centered the CPU to the pipes...

Is it possible that this is intentional and the third pipe in this case is just to help with any excess?

I mean... After all... If the temps are not out of range, what is the problem?

Sometimes this happens when Quality Control is down sized in a company.
Almost like how MS release Windows 8.x, but at least this type of misalignment can be corrected.
I wonder if a thin piece copper over the GPU can fix this as well if it even needs any fixing.
