Wait... so looking at the supported "PCI-E configurations" you can't do 6-Pin + 6-Pin? Well that makes no sense...
Well looking at the design these appear to only work for the 10XX series. Bummer, would love to get a couple for my 970's...
We will make a second 6pin connector available separately to support GTX 970.

Will the filters on the PowerLink help reduce or eliminate the coil whine/buzzing on the FTW 1070? and how much is the estimated shipping cost in Europe?

Are these guaranteed to not affect the power going to the card? I'm running 4-6 1070s and just want to make sure these wont dirty up the power whatsoever

do you have to use dual 8 pins on the power link? for example, if I'm running a 970, and i go dual 6 pins into the card, will i have to swap out my cables from the PSU to 8 pin?

yes, it is recommended to always use dual 8pin's on the powerlink.

Wrote to customer support about not being able to order the PowerLink though the EVGA website (I have a registered 1070 FTW) and got this response instead:
Unfortunately, this is a promotion that NVIDIA is running and EVGA has no codes to give. This is something that is not within our control and you would need to contact the place of purchase for your request on this promotion. I apologize for any inconvenience.

I'm assuming this means 980 as well :) But to be clear, the Powerlink doesn't provide any height clearance benefits does it? This would actually make the card "taller" right?

How far will the Powerlink stick out of a 1060 (SC if that matters)? I'm working in a Corsair Air 240 case which is known to be a little tight with regards to GPU power runs. Is it possible to get an actual measurement that I can check with? Thanks!

I can't put in for the promotion it seems. At the top it says that my registered card (a 1080FTW) is eligible for the promotion, however step 2 states "You do not have any qualified products registered."

Providing this for free to people who already bought cards is why I remain an EVGA fanboy! It's a little thing, but with stuff like this, excellent support, and the Step-Up program, I will continue to recommend EVGA to all my PC master race friends.

Looks like a bulky piece of "engineering" to me.. Seriously, that's the best you can do for a product targeted for your own GFX? I'll just stick to my hollowed out plugs filled with hotglue to make them custom 90 degrees

I'm thinking of buying this and doing a YouTube review but i have 2 questions first off the easy one does the wording (looking at the pictures i would say no) light up?

It doesn't matter when you registered the card as the GoW promo is based on the purchase date. Can you not get a copy of the invoice from the person who gifted you the card? Have you called support to see if something could be done?

Good point about the purchase date.
The card was an Amazon Wish list gift from a Twitch follower. It feels like breaking protocol or being untoward or ungrateful to ask the follower for the invoice. It's cool. I'll get one when I have the disposable income.

This seems like an odd promotion to me. In the article, it pretty much acknowledges that EVGA could have designed the power inputs better for more airflow and a better look (which is debatable), but they didn't. So if you see their design as a problem, they are charging you $10.00 for the ability to fix it.
Rather than say this is free, it would be more honest to say you're getting a discounted price for a limited time. People would still buy it for $10.00, I'm sure! I thought it was really cool of them to say they're giving us that little plastic part for free until the part where it wasn't free. I still like their products and designs, and I was excited to get something cool and free for being and EVGA customer, but it's a little disappointing to find out that it's actually $10.00!
You can check the EVGA store too and they have a ton of free video cards! You just have to pay $400+ for shipping and handling. :)
