You are on your own if you click the play button... I don’t want to hear a single “OMG ITS 30 MINUTES LONG” complaints... that is your warning.
P.s. I can’t hear what you type, feel free to complain while your mind is blown by all the things he continuously talks about... buildzoid is like a Canadian encyclopedia for computer parts...
TL:DW (Watch>Read) MSI added 1 phase, widened the pcb, and crammed an extra 6 pin onto their board while removing the power balancing feature. Buildzoid refers to it as a custom reference pcb.
Thankfully, it’s on $50 USD extra for the overly large pcb.

Did you watch the whole video? If you did, does this card oc any better then the EVGA XC cards? EVGA has a higher voltage limit on a Nvidia reference board.

Buildzoid does not OC these cards sadly. He only analyzed the PCB from high quality photos sent to him by other users.
However, Hardware Unboxed did a video on that and it did a little bit better because the temps were better controlled.
I will rewatch it and let you know in a few.
Here is the video, only 20 minutes versus 30, in case you want to watch it.

I've watched that video, but they only compare it to the FE card. Out of the box the MSI card was only 2 to 3 FPS faster then the FE card. They did show FPS on the MSI card over clocked, but no over clocked FE FPS.

This is the important page. The gaming benchmarks show this card pulls ahead by a few FPS at stock and a couple extra OC’d. The video from hardware unboxed does not show the 2080ti founders overclocked for some reason, which I find strange.

Ah, sorry, I misunderstood your question.
Yeah, it does get slight better overclocks at a much lower sound signature, and only $50 extra on the price.
Buildzoid doesn’t get to test cards unfortunately, so he can’t give more info on that part.

$50 more, not bad, the size of the card, terrible. The MSI card better run cooler for the massive size of the card. To me it was an advertisement video for the MSI since they didn't show any FE OC FPS on the slides.

It really is an advertisement.
I do not like the shape of the pcb either.. the weird inset for the nvlink bridge and having to remove the cover part to access it... it is all misplaced in my opinion.
For only being $50 more, that isn’t too bad. It’s just sad they added an extra 6 pin that does very little or nothing because of how it is wired in (buildzoid covers that very well) and they added 1 new vrm... so strange and feels super rushed just so they could be “first to the market”

Oh, I did forget about the piece to get access to the NVLink and it's screwed on if I remember correctly? Don't lose those screws.

Zoid's video is hard to watch and is overly long because he doesn't seem to have a plan for it before he starts. It's like he's seeing the picture for the first time on camera.

Because most of the time he probably is. He gets a file containing the picture and that is all.

The Trio is a great looking card. The size of it dominates the inside of the case and fills an otherwise unnecessarily capacious void. Hopefully that RGB combination can be subdued so that it doesn't always look like an 80's New Wave concert stage lighting element.

That wouldn't prevent him from looking the picture over, deciding what he wanted to say and putting a plan together for the video before he turned the camera on. Oh well, I guess it's easy to armchair quarterback someone elses work. I'll be quiet now. LOL

He is getting multiple files a day and works out of his hous. Not only is he working his own channel, he also works on these for Gamers Nexus. He would probably love to sit home and script everything, but I think he is just too busy because he release multiple videos almost every week as well as live streaming ln2 and DIce overclocking.
I love his ramblings because I do the same exact thing, even when I set a plan lol.
