I think thats just the clip looking weird at that angle , I did unplug them multiple times and even swapped the cables out and still nothing but that light.

Bright side, at least you didn't block it up and THEN find out it was a dud - that would've sucked exponentially worse.
 
Given that it's a PCIe plug red light I would imagine nothing is going to fix it and an RMA is going to be required - luckily eVGA should have some of these on reserve for RMAs, so if you contact them it shouldn't be too long of a turn around process.  I highly recommend calling them (9AM-5PM Pacific time if you're in the U.S.) over EMailing (not because the email is worse, just that it's slower) - a phone rep should be able to get you taken care of & setup with an RMA pretty quickly since it's a Red Light of Death issue, they might walk you through a few troubleshooting steps, then go in to the RMA process... since it never worked, from what I'm understanding, and was basically DOA, they may set you up with Advanced RMA (and since it was a DOA card, they should imo, if they don't, ask about it), that will speed up the process as well since they'll send you a new card before your old card is returned.

Thanks for the heads up , I did email troubleshooting but I'll try the above guys suggestions before I call them. I actually already paid for advanced rma when I first received the card because reddit nightmares scared me, so I guess I got that going for me. Definetly happy I didn't block it, was planning on doing so in a month when ek sends me the block.

Thanks, I already eliminated the vertical mount having problems by testing it with a pre existing pc and that gpu worked. I am not using any daisy chains. Yes I checked my system for 6 hours making sure everything was connected and continued to reseat components and their cables. I will check the fan headers in the morning, but what am I looking for there? Thanks!

It's already rma time in my opinion, so far we have seen no one get the gpu working once one of the red lights has come on and stayed on.

I booted up yesterday when installing a new mobo with a CPU WB and 360 loop... I forgot to plug in the PCIE 8pin connectors to the FTW Ultra and had 3 red lights, one for each socket... so a red light does not necessessarliy mean "it’s a blown fuse that causes red light" at all, that's false info.

powered down and plugged them all in, and thankfully, no harm done, no red lights and working like a charm.

Qq though @ OP... what size PSU do you have?

It does when your PCIe connectors are all plugged in and you get a single red led with a functioning PSU...

Yes but he has already checked all of that stuff, his trouble shooting has been enough to start an RMA and get it over with

not the point of my post... I was correcting false info for the most part.

ok... Just sick of seeing ppl putting what 'they think' rather than facts on forums.... wasting time on guessing.
 
And could not see anything stating psu power capabilities from the OP... hence the question.
 

I hope RMA will be fast for you. There is nothing you can do about red light. Also when you get RMA card make sure to test it on air for atleast 10 days then install wb.

Yeah I had the same thought after seeing all the posts on reddit, I'm not in a rush to finish the loop.

I have a 1000 t2 evga psu, it's a 100% brand new build no old cables anywhere. I spent 6 hours unplugging reseating. This vertical mount doesn't let it sag and it has its own pcie slot with a reroute cable. And it's not the mount or it's cable because I already tested it with another card. I'm calling them today, I've had 5 evga gpus in my lifetime and zero problems it's why I've bought evga this time.

 
It helps to have all this info in your signature..that way people know without having to ask.
