First and foremost I meant no disrespect to you when I asked you your age. Based on the way you asked your questions I also knew that English is not your primary language. We can work around that!!

Do not place the case directly on the carpet. What will happen is that the weight of the case will sink into the carpet as carpet is soft. Take your finger and push it into the carpet and watch what happens. Look at where your finger is and then around your finger where the carpet is not being pushed in by your finger. See the difference? That part will stand until it is pressed in by the bottom of the case. This WILL decrease the case clearance restricting air flow to blocking it altogether. Although cardboard is firmer than carpet, it too is still soft. The same thing will probably happen with your case clearance if placed on unsupported cardboard because the case edge and the feet will push down on the cardboard and allow the center of the cardboard to be pushed upward due to the carpet surface pushing it in that direction. This in turn will decrease the clearance between the cardboard and case bottom. Keep in mind that you are limited to clearance set by the manufacture's design. Your goal is to not restrict it greater than the design.

So in my opinion I do not recommend either way. If it is your intent to leave it on the carpet for whatever reason/circumstance, I strongly advise you to use a thick, flat wood surface. This will get the case off the carpet and maintain your case clearance. Also, by allowing the wood to be both wider and longer then the case, it will give it stability.

You could also just take two short sticks and set the computer on top of those.
