Just got my EVGA 3090 XC3 in. Installed it and everything perfectly and then plugged my DPI in and nothing. No matter what Ive tried I cannot get the card to show a display, all I get is a black screen. Ive troubleshooted for hours and just nothing. The card lights up so it is receiving power, but when I look at device manager while its plugged in (I have to put the DPI into my integrated graphics slot) it does not show up. Also when unplugging the DPI from the integrated graphics slot, I get a system noise telling me Ive done so. When doing the same thing with the 3090 I get no system sounds when unplugging/plugging in the DPI cable :( Ive also tried HDMI but no luck :(

First, you should list your entire system specs .
    &
Without knowing much else, I would make sure your motherboard BIOS is the latest version.

If you are using a PCIE 3.0 riser cable with a motherboard that supports PCIE 4.0 then make sure the motherboard's PCIE slot is set to 3.0. This causes black screen issues for many people.

But as Steve said, posting the rest of your hardware specs will help us troubleshoot.

Have you tried disabling your Onboard Graphics in BIOS?  There may also be a setting the bios that tells the system which output to use over another.

Only changes to my specs from this original list are:
Lian Li cool mesh 2 case
    Alienware 34” ultra wide AW3420DW
and of course the 3090 (I still have my 2070 as well)

also Im not sure how to navigate or update BIOS. My knowledge is limited so if you would mind maybe guiding me through I would REALLY appreciate that!!

    * install the latest BIOS first -  https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/TUF-Z390-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_BIOS/
    * download the manual & read it.  pg 75 tells how to update. - https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/TUF-Z390-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_Manual/

but also, you are asking alot of that 750 W power supply to run this 3090 .... Forums are lit up about these cards melting psu's left & right because of the power draw they need.

Next-  after trying the new BIOS & running 3 separate cables from your PSU to that 3090 , if it still doesn't work  but your old cards works fine - It can also just be a dud 3090 and need to be returned ?

Do you have a different PC you can try plugging the GPU into?
