Already burned more than 11,000 acres. More than 1,500 homes have been evacuated already. It's hard for the fire fighters to get a good handle on it, because of the high temps, and it's a little windy. I'm approximately 6 to 7 miles away from it. The smoke is really bad. I can see the dark smoke. Makes the daylight look very dark. Last night I could walk out of my house, and see the fire from a distance. Here's a couple of links with info on the fire near my house: Link Link2

Time to pack your evacuation bug-out bags, keep your car fully fueled and an extra case of bottled water handy

EVGATech_ErinW Stay safe, man. That fire's crazy. Last night, there was ash on my car from the fire. I was parked outside of the office here in Brea.
Hmmm, and you're not even that close.

This is pretty much a yearly occurrence anymore. We've had a couple out here as well, but including a an arson started one that destroyed 10+ homes.
Do they know what started the fire?

Only way to get rid of all that fuel is to do control burns yearly. Donno why Cali doesn't do that sort of thing.

No word yet. Also, the ashes are traveling far from the fire. I walk outside, and I see ashes falling here.
