Had normal reds and have now swapped to cherry mx, yeah I don't see myself going back honestly, mx are way too comfortable and satisfying to type on.

I'm currently using Holy Pandas on a high profile Drop Alt, and there is a very different feel to the switches based on the keyboard you're using, but you have to be prepared to do some manual lubing to get the most out of the switches.  Halo Trues are also a good tactile switch for people who want a little less of a bump while typing..  I plan to throw some AEBoards Naevy R1.5 switches into a small keyboard I'm building, as they're pretty good tactile switches for a relatively cheap price.

I've also used the older revisions of Cherry Blues and Browns, and enjoyed those, along with the Razer Oranges.  I've not been much of a linear fan (mechanical or optical), but for some reason, I actually like the linear opticals on the Z20 more than the clicky ones, for some reason.

I heard Holy Pandas are next-tier switches. I was thinking about getting them with hot-swap keyboard but the price... I just cant't. :D

There are a number of ways to make Holy Pandas yourself to save some money, which is how most people originally made them.  Most of it involves buying a set of cheap Pandas (aka Trash Pandas) for the housing and a second type of switch (like the Halo True) to swap out the spring and stem.

As for how they type, they are quite awesome.  Heavy bump at the top of the press, and smooth, solid typing.  Puts nearly every other tactile switch to shame.

After trying all type of switches, my recommendation would be Red Linear switches. I love typing on Red switches.

I've seen the custom order keyboards where you can have different switches on the same board. For gaming that makes a little bit of sense but I think it would be infuriating to try typing and hit one that's different from the rest.
