    There are several ways to do it. The first thing that came to mind where the non-slip place mats we used to have. They make them bigger for rugs,ect. It may be more difficult on carpet, than bare floor.

    Found this one that is designed for rugs on carpet specifically.  Based on your mat size you would need to cut the 4x6 version to fit.  Not sure how well it would work with bamboo on carpet either.
