BIOS 2.04 Updates

  • Improved memory overclock ability and performance
  • Added OC profile for Raptor Lake.
  • Added more VCore V/F points.

Windows Installation

  • Download the correct .zip file below for your motherboard:
         121-AL-E698-KR - EVGA Z690 CLASSIFIED (2.04)
         121-AL-E699-KR - EVGA Z690 DARK K|NGP|N (2.04)
  • First go into your BIOS and load defaults, save and reboot to Windows.
  • Close all open programs.
  • Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and click update.bat
  • Press Y to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
  • After the flash is finished, the system will automatically shut down. Power on the system again and go into BIOS and adjust settings as needed.
  • NOTE: If flash box immediately closes after flash attempt, the flash may need to be run from a CMD prompt with administrator privileges or DOS version.

BIOS Installation

  • Extract the contents of .zip file to USB flash drive (must be formatted as FAT32)
  • Reboot the machine and go into the system BIOS
  • From the BIOS, navigate to the EXTRAS tab at the upper left and select "BIOS Update"
  • Select the .bin file you wish to flash.

So this is my curiosity. I upgraded from 2.03 to this and my idle temps went from 26ish to 33ish. Also I can't apply changes in XTU either. But apart from that can't see any actual problems but maybe one of you more savvy lads might have an idea

Did XTU work before? Do you have the latest Intel ME drivers?

Why not just use ELEET X1?

    Hello,
There is some bug about cpu oc on 12900KS (and maybe other ADL cpu).

First : The thermal velocity boost must be disable or the cpu will clock down during workload, also downclock with cstate off
Second : Ring ration can't be set, while i set 44 on bios i still have 36 under OS, with Eleet X1 it show 36, and changing the value on it doesn't change the ring at all.

For mem OC it's fine, in can do 8000c32 / 8200c34 or 8400c34 easly with 12900ks and A die, daily oc kharu Ycruncher stable at 7600c36 1.4v on hynix green stick.

My 7600 cl 36 kit seems to run great with this bios. Only issue i'm having is the Ring ration wont set for some reason. I set my ring to x53 in bios, but its being reported at x45 when in Windows.

So, I had the same issue w.r.t. ring clock when I tried 5.8/5.0. With 5.7/4.9, it sticks. Weird.

    I found some bugs
    1. The cpu temperature increases by 5 to 7 degrees at the same voltage (both idle and full load)
    2. The ring ratio is fixed to 45. Fixed even if a lower or higher value was applied.
    3. In the post process, it is often stuck without booting.

Memory overclocking had its advantages (relatively low voltage)
It seems that vdd and vdd2 are synchronized.

I went back to 2.03 beta.
    Please fix it.

    EVGA,

There is only a Windows 11 version of the 2.04 BIOS release - no Windows 10 64bit.  Any reason for this?  Should I just use the Windows 11 version with Windows 10?

    Thanks,
    Bill

2.04 bios is on ucode 26 for ADL from 1E on 2.xx bios and 1f from 1.14+ bios. https://github.com/intel/Intel-Linux-Processor-Microcode-Data-Files/releases . are u on the latest XTU?

Cache bug means I can't use my BClk oc

Also with Intel A770, the bios environment is really buggy, a lot of double enters despite only pressing enter once and the system fails to post unless fast boot is off

Flashed back to 2.03 and just get 7F post code lol

If you want to test your max memory OC, it's good. For daily driving? no.
