Yup.. ruff to accept buying a card back in Feb 26! Haha. Screwed.. took the gamble as I was guessing it could of been just a few boats hit with card and thst might be it for awhile.. nope.. wrong.

Well I'm assuaging my annoyance by finding a deal for a brand new 55" LG C1 OLED for ~1K. It will be here Saturday.

It's a really nice TV. OLED is amazing for the black levels as long as you are not using it in a room that gets a lot of direct sunlight you should love it.

I thought about getting the C2, but it actually has fewer features and is another $600 more. Since about February,  the C1 and C2 are using the exact same EVO panel, apparently the C2 is slightly brighter.  What I really wanted was the VRR and native G-Sync with 120hz 4K.

Why is it, if you're an associate, you cannot take advantage of anything the program offers? Or why is it, if you're a Premium member, there's zero advantage? In fact, one could argue being in those programs costs you money.

True, every eligible EVGA member has to decide which option is best for them.  Instant discount for their personal purchases -Or- signing up for the Associates code & then Hope it gets used enough times that the member feels it has been worth the Risk of missing "instant discount" on their purchases

I'm not going to harp on this but, I lost a couple of hundred dollars due to how EVGA does their programs. I would have never recently joined the Associate program if I realized, one I'd lose out 100% on ANY discount, we had farmers for codes, and you cannot use anyone else's code to help them out.

You have the option to cancel your associates membership. Not sure if you can re-enter at a later date or not but cancelation is an option if you feel it's not for you. Not saying this to be a jerk, just stating an option.

Obviously, indeed I do have the option to cancel. Of course stating the obvious, after I've already made the purchase, doesn't make you a jerk, it just makes your post pointless. No, you cannot rejoin after leaving and again, the fact that the program prevents me from using anyone's code for SOMEONE ELSE, seems absurd to me.  Of course it is also bothersome that after a year of no availability, the very model I purchased gets a 10% discount a week after my purchase. My point here, was more or less, that all these supposed loyalty programs seem to benefit those with the least amount.

You can opt-out of the associates program, can't you? So, you could farm, make money, opt out and then use the discount, can't you? It's like an option to opt-out but then you are never allowed back in, right?
I never went in from the start. Spamming and shilling for perks just seems wrong.

 
The funny thing was, I only joined the associates program to help out others. Turns out, once you join the program, you cannot do anything with it but farm. You cannot, if you make a purchase, use the program in any manner.

The option is there to opt out. But you cannot get in again once you opt out of the Associate programme. Don’t agree with this but that’s EVGA rules.

I don't have a problem with that. Otherwise you could be double dipping. The program is just weird and of no real benefit to anyone but the random buyer and those farming code use.

What I was making clear - "because of all the fuss in other threads" ..... this thread is about the Instant Rebates that are Available through the EVGA.com Store NOW.   Also seeing some conversation about the Associates program, that is fine
