That is slick, how kid-proof/pet proof would something like that be, Love the look but wondering if it would be safe for me to replicate.
The Desk is pretty heavy/stable and everyting fits inside, is not reachable. So i guess it also depends on the kid/pet, but i would say safer than a usual case :)

Great piece of hardware 
Is top surface mirror like reflection a bit to much? Tinted folia (50%)maybe?
When sitting in front of it, i dont notice any reflections, so for me its fine as it is :)

Does the input or exhaust air on desk cases tend to bother people? Like blow onto your crotch or legs?

Not at all, the intakes are on the front and the warm air gets blown out at the back. There is a filter in front of the intakes and you can feel the air mpving only if you put your hand directly on it.

Cool. Also does such a thick desk cause ergonomic problems or interference with chair armrests?

The height of the desk is adjustable between 68 and 100cm, you can set it up as comfortable as you want :)
