I received my 3080 from Adorama, but it came with the red lips. Has there been any news on a fix for this? I know they were talking about figuring out a way to do it.

Newer cards (as in ones being MADE now) are coming with black instead of red, a lot of retail stores are still getting the red-version though, and they did say they plan on offering a "kit" to fix it, but they haven't said when it will be available as far as I know.
Eventually it'll filter down to where there's no "red" versions left in the wild for sale (except by scalpers).

I truly believe this is a non-issue. I can't even notice it in my 1000D and even when I do look at it, they look fine.

I have them on my 3090 FTW3 Ultra and feel the same. I care more about how the card performs, and so far I have been more than pleased.

After calling EVGA EU customer support, I was told that the shroud replacement that they offer was only for US customers. They also told me that since the operation involves disassembling the card to a certain extent, I'd have to send them the card and they would fix it. I feel it's a shame, I wouldn't have mind doing it myself I have all the tools for it and have already disassembled GPUs in the past. Oh well.
