Since this thing has been discontinued is there any news that it'll come back? Perhaps a NEX1500 Classified G2 since it seems like most of the PSU's by EVGA are being divided by G[generations] whereas the standard PSU (no G in it) are essentially beta products that haven't had the kinks worked out yet...

Any sign of a NEX1500 G2 Classified? Or is there a way to still purchase one of these and some how retain a warranty?

Right now I'm running with:

NZXT 820 Ultra Tower
ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
AMD FX-9590
NZXT X60 Kraken Liquid Cooling
EVGA GTX 780Ti Classified
G.Skill 16GB (2x8) 2400Mhz OC
1-4TB Seagate SSDH (1TB but may upgrade or add 4TB later)
Lite-On DVD RW
Various assortment of Noctua fans.

Right now my ratings are from anything of 850W to 1200W (depending the calculator you use since each part recommendation is only meant for the conditions it meets with expected components much like Intel CPU's which mine is not). But either way, if I were going to SLI the EVGA 780Ti Classified, or if I were to add water cooling for it then I'd need anything from 1300-2200W (yet again, depending on the calculator used).

Hmmm sadly anything above 1500W requires a fully functional power outlit for things much like cloth dryers, ovens, etc (large appliances).

It's a shame that GPU's use so much power lol.

Actually that is not true if you are only pushing one GPU. If you are really pushing the limits of overclocking with a tri or quad SLI system then you want to make sure you have that extra power when needed. With that much power make sure your home circuit breaker can handle the power draw.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Yep, which was my point. I can get by with one GPU but if I upgraded to any kind of SLI then I'd have to upgrade my power outlit, recheck all of my circuits and fuses in the circuit breaker, and also upgrade my PSU if not get another PSU.

The GTX 780Ti recommends a 600W PSU if paired with an Intel CPU (which runs slightly lower than an AMD CPU), and around 400-450W standalone has been rated for the 780Ti. My CPU recommends 220W PSU. For the sake of individual components ratings for overall PSU requirement: 400x2 = 800W + 220W = 1020W + 150W (other attachments) = 1170W SLI which should work perfectly with 1300W PSU. But when I overclock my CPU from 4700 to 5000 at 1.5v it has a rating of roughly 330W.
1170 + 110 = 1280W with an overclocked AMD CPU and also dual SLI GTX 780Ti.

Although that is just individual part calculating. Would you say that that sounds right?

    The max watts for a standard 780ti is 300W (1x8 pin = 150w + 1x6 pin = 75w + 75w from PCI-E BUS = 300w.)

    Max watts for a 780ti classified is 375W. (2x8 pin = 300w + 75w from PCI-E BUS = 375w.)

You won't come close to the maxes unless you are pushing the cards to their limits.

Well until perhaps Watch Dogs that might not happen since most of the other games including battlefield 4 on 1080p won't damage the card for stress. Not any I can think of right now and I'll be only running 1080p on my television. But thanks. Kind of lights my worry.

No problem. "Pushing the cards to their limits" = Adding more voltage & overclocking the cards.

Ahh okay. I don't plan on any overclocking over factory classified speeds. I also won't be water cooling them unless I find someone who would do the tubing since I wont trust myself with that.

I actually thought that too. I was under the assumption of other threads on this topic but rather old that they were thinking of making a new NEX1500 platinum instead of gold. But I guess not.

Instead of waiting I just went ahead and bought the 1300 g2 despite I want 1500 but no higher. Maybe in 90 days they'll release one and just maybe I can step up the 1300 lol. Oh god and I want my PSU to be bloody Classified.. My PC call sign is "Classified" and I would love if more parts could be Evga and classified.

Evga especially Classified is like.. The Carmen Electra... The Mona Lisa of computer parts in my opinion.. They would make Topper Harley look like Forest Gump if they were in a movie.

I also would love to know more about the new 1500/1600. a few bullet points at least so I know whether to pick up a few of the corsair 1500i's or hold out for the evga units I want. Will it use the supernova software? Will it be platinum or titanium rated? will it use an oc mode like the last one? will I need to reset the ocp mode via software every time I reboot like the corsair? does it cost more or less than $450? I know I am not the only one wanting to know if we should hold out when there is an alternative option available right now. If the price is close, it uses a good software, if it holds a memory of how the rails are setup without loading a profile, I will wait.

I've been running two NEX1500 Classifieds and have not had any issues whatsoever. I tried the Corsair AX1200i on this build and the AX860i on another build and they gave me nothing but headaches. Luck of the draw I guess. That being said, I would definitely wait for the EVGA high model before jumping on the AX1500i. While at it, it would be nice if you guys released the TORQ X10 Carbon mouse already

I have two now, but now find it better to use two 1300 G2 or 1000 G2 I also like the 10 limited warranty on all.
I hope that what the come out with used a standard Power Cable, I do not really care for the one that comes with it.

Why put that kind of PC in a corsair 900d case?
    Much deserving of a caselabs....

Dear Jacob, hurry with this PSU please, I need 2.I'm waiting for your PSU since December 2013!  I took a Lepa 1600w for my Banchetto 101, I would not take 2 Corsair AX1500i for my Modded PC!I'd like to create a EVGA's super PC!
I have a X79 Dark and 4 780ti K|NGP|N, then I would also your PSUs! Find me at:
    Project: 900D eXtreme PoWer
    OC i7-4960x; X79 DARK; 4 SLI K|NGP|N; 64GB CORSAIR PLATINUM; Banchetto 101 eXtreme PoWer

You're right! But in the beginning I did not want to put in all this liquid system!
Now I'm having too much fun to demolish the 900D and to rebuild it as a new case!

The more I look at your Build LucaJ the more I think that 2 1300 G2 would work better.
One to Power the MB CPU and all the Water Cooling and then the 2nd to Power all your GPU's that you are installing.
