It's one of the few games I keep re-installing year after year. Just recently replayed all the campaigns and then downloaded the Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3 workshop campaigns. So good.

I am a fan, im hoping this upcoming game Back 4 Blood that looks really similar to L4D2 comes out just as fun.
Also the new Aliens game looks to be in the same vein as L4D2 and as an Aliens fan, im extremely excited about that one too.

Played this like crazy for a few weeks when I got it years ago, one of the best games in which anyone ever a loner like me can just play a co-op with 3 random people (or more) you've never met and have this insane and intense time where you're completely at each other's mercy and frantically trying to keep each other alive through the different chapters. I should check it out some time after the recent big update. There's nothing else like it, really. 'Fun' doesn't even begin to describe it.

The L4D franchise is great, just like other valve games of this era. Very replayable and also have great mod support among other things. The games are so unique and good that they have even inspired a few games to take and try to recreate the gameplay formula like vermintide for example. It's not my favourite nor most played valve game, but it is one that I do enjoy and respect quite a lot for what it is.

L4D2 is one of my most played games on Steam with over 500 hours in it. It never mattered how many times I repeated the campaigns, I never grew bored of it

It was good for its innovation, but the formula gets stale after a while. The special zombies killed it for me. Very immersion breaking.

It still is good and i played way too much of it back in the day , but not so much in awhile -

Try playing the Resident Evil 1,2,3 mods in the workshop. They work well in singleplayer and have a totally different feel where it's less about the manic type of zombie rushes were you need friends watching your back. Though the AI is definitely needed.

Ya I tried but it wasn't the same. Half the games with people without mics other half quitters. But this could be different now. I havnt tried playing it for years!
