Coreteks, citing sources in Asia, reports that AMD has started sharing details of the RDNA 2-based GPUs with its Add-In Board (AIB) partners. They say the performance level of the high-end card—codenamed Sienna Cichlid—is just 15 percent better than Nvidia's RTX 2080 Ti, and that’s only in select AMD “optimized” games. which means it can't beat it in others that also means a mediocre upgrade RTX3080 is 35% faster than 2080ti all I see is Nvidia pulling away from AMD

Will AMD be Gamers Nexus' GPU of the year again in 2021?
Poo-pooing about the performance level is silly, because that isn't AMD's M.O.. ... Like what's the point? Price-to-performance is AMD's jam. Poo-pooing about why this GPU wasn't released months ago, now that is something that will have a significant impact on AMD's sales.

Buildzoid said ages ago the performance guesses going around was just a pipe dream. 10% faster than 2080 TI is still what I think will happen.

Doesn't matter if it's not 30% faster than a 2080TI. You can't buy any of the 3000 series cards. The cheapest you *might* be able to get one for is $700...
Even if it's only 10-20% faster, if it's actually available to purchase, at a reasonable price-point, then that's where people will put their money.

we haven't seen the professional card yet and Nvidia is switching to tsmc - the boost alone on the clocks from switch and the wattage decrease should peg a new go around of Ampere at better than AMD's offering... like 100-25% better than under samsung Nvidia took a chance with samsung and samsung blew it - low yields and not very good silicon but is is good to see competition - however we are not seeing it in prices because silicon pricing is going up with shrinks
