Sajin For 700/900 series users looks like you can use 344.11 to prevent the stutter...
AthilarSo I've read that all drivers up to and including the 344.11 release will also stop the stuttering, but you have to put your computer to sleep and wake it up again in order for this to work. You have to do this every time you reboot, too, or if you change any options in the nvidia control panel.
Do you have a link for those drivers? I couldnt find them and the ones I did find would not install on the GTX980. Never mind, I found them: http://us.download.nvidia...64bit-english-whql.exe (win7 64bit) Testing now! I did go and get the app Strobelight Beta 4 by ToastyX ( http://www.monitortests.com/strobelight-beta4.zip) for my Asus 144Hz monitor and that helps but when running the these tests ( http://www.testufo.com/#test=framerates) I would get stuttering warnings in every single test. When I ran Heaven like you suggested , granted I used PrecisionX 16 for monitoring my results were: GPU Usage - 0 - Stable, no fluctuations GPU Clock - 1379 - Stable running KBoost 0 flucuations Voltage Limit - 1 - Stable, no fluctuations OVMax - 0 - Stable, no fluctuations Memory Usage - 0 - Stable, no fluctuations GPU Voltage - 1.218 - Stable Temps - 50c-52c -Stable FPS - 69-71 Stable Power - 95% Stable Power Limit - 0 and 1 - This was very erratic as it kept hopping from 0 to 1. Then I moved back a little in Heaven and it stabilized on 1 till I moved again and it would hop back and forth. I moved again and it went to 0 and it was stable. This monitor seemed to possibly be the reason for the stuttering and the hopping back and forth from 0 to 1 was very crazy. I am still at a loss though and it has to be drivers as I have tried every combination of settings, clean driver installs, in game tweaks, every thing and anything I could find on the web about this and nothing has solved the micro stuttering.

Sajin 331.82 Single GPU = No drops. 331.82 SLI = No drops. 347.09 Single GPU = No drops. 347.09 SLI = Drops to 0%.
I'll test mine tonight as I've been noticing this problem during gaming with any driver beyond 331.82 with a single 780 HC. I haven't tried 347.09 yest but I might just to test it and see. Anyway, I'll report back after I test it and let you know the results.

Well, it looks like I'm not hitting zero, but there sure are a lot of dips. Tell me what you think. Driver 344.11

Not good, not good at all. Do the dips go away when you put the computer to sleep/wake it back up and rerun the tests?

I don't ever use sleep mode; it's either on or off. I won't use sleep mode under any circumstances. Edit: oh, that's the 780 HC single card only.

You may want to give it a shot anyways. Putting the computer to sleep/waking it back up has been reported to correct the stutter/dropout issue when running drivers 332.21 through 344.11.

Nah, I won't bother with sleep mode. It either gets fixed with a different driver or it's there to stay. I'll try 331.82 and see what happens there.

still messing with my system a bit over here and am STILL unable to recreate this stuttering on your heaven test Sajin with 347.09 drivers running with SLI enabled but am still getting it in games cant find anything else wrong with my system that might be causing this and not really sure where to look now since benchmarks dont seem to show the problem at all

So, I hopped back to 331.82 and couldn't enable SLI at all. I think it was an issue with the pro SLI bridge. I had to go back and forth until I found a driver that would allow SLI.
Setting the scene as requested, I never had steady gpu usage. It was between 80 and 96% on all GPUs with number 3 being the absolute worst. Occasionally it would drop down to the 30s as well, but never 0.

well got on bf4 into an empty server and set the resolution scale to 200% so it would max out my gpu usage...both cards sitting at 95% + or - 3 and am going to do the same thing as on heaven and just let it sit here for a bit and see how it goes

I had occasional drops in BF4 with 344.11. I went back to 331.82 and it wasn't just drops like a lag in game it was a complete freezing of the game for 1-2 seconds each now, much more noticeable. I guess I'm going back to 344.11 as that was better in game.

Well I took the EVGA GTX980 back and got a brand new one and guess? The stutter seems even worse... Maybe I will go and try GIGabyte's 980. I am so frustrated with this. I have tried all the drivers with clean installs and this card should be screaming fast on my machine with my 144Hz monitor.... UGH

thats the thing sajin...i dont know...ill play a few rounds of whatever game stutter free then it will come back for a bit then go away for hours one thing ive noticed...if im not getting stuttering in one game it seems to be fine across my whole system and anything i try until whatever it is starts having another fit as of right now i cant seem to reliably reproduce any of the issues other than benchmarks are just simply not affected at all although with sli disabled i do not have it at all in any game now...so thinking maybe my sli bridge might be jacked up? its been through like 3 systems now and ive had it for years so going to pick up a new one once i get a chance and try it out as well to at least possibly eliminate that

ok so a little update on my end...if i sit in one place like i did in those tests earlier its perfectly stable in everything always with SLI enabled but if i dont do anything for awhile then trigger some kind of event like blowing something up or whatever it will stutter every single time =/ that doesnt seem at all like its the drivers causing it for me since you guys all show it just doing the static heaven test im completely at a loss as to what my system is doing now haha ok so one question...when i do windows reinstalls on an SSD should i use a Secure Erase program on it first? because i definitely havent been doing that
