I know it's not a big thing, but would love to see some more color choices or some sort of thermal armour. I love red and black, but would mean changing almost every component I have.

ill hope i have a chance to win this .... in the Overview with all 3 X99 Versions the middle one (X99 FTW) would be perfectly in my planned system intigrated .... the PC shall be Red/Black ;o)

I don't know which day I'm gunning for since it is 1:30am on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014. My $0.02 at this point; hereafter I refer to EVGA via second-person speech: I'm into small things, so of course I'll only see your X99 Micro as worth paying attention too (wish you made miniITX, don't need more than one PCIe x16, but wouldn't mind more than an 8-threaded CPU). I like inclusion of the M.2 slot, but not the limit of length. Allowance for longer M.2 drives, but I realize they use up space. IDEA FOR A FUTURE X99: With that being said, however, considering the larger ATX boards; multiple M.2 slots could fit in between 4-way SLI worth of slots. Minus use of a PLX chipset, four x8 for SLI leaves enough extra lanes and space for three M.2 slots fitted in between each PCIe x16 slot. If using three Plextor m6e SSDs, three of them would allow 2GB/s read/write. Think about it: None of the available branded Z97 or X99 boards have more than one M.2 slot; this is an opportunity for EVGA to free up space left by having so many SSDs interfere with airflow patterns. Be first!

The X99 motherboard family has got only the best of the best features a motherboard can have.
A lot of Sata 3.0 ports, DDR4 memory compatibility, enough DIMM slots for even the most ram-hungry enthusiasts, and the most important part, it's Haswell-E ready!
