8 + 6 pin pci-e cable

I'm making a mining rig, and I'm using 2 PSUs to power 7 R9 390x GPUs, I tried just plugging the 8 pins as some people recommended, but they wouldn't power up without both the 8 and 6 pin plugged in. #1 18 Replies Related Threads

They have 8 pins -> 6pins + 8pins cable only.... As I know I cannot buy 3rd party PSU cable to use on Modular PSU as they may NOT compatible... how to solve such issue :( Sad.......
