Hi all!

I managed to get 4 x 4GB of G. Skill Ripjaws 1600 at 9-9-9-24 2T with 1.525V running, but with a caveat - I cannot run two video cards with this configuration. I have two GTX260s in SLI but with both video cards in and a Areca 1280ML in the middle PCIe slot, the board will not boot with 16GB memory on tap. Remove one of the GTX260s and no problems.

I thought it might be a power issue - I have a 750W PC Power&Cooling Silencer, but when I detached all my harddrives (have 6) to save power, still no successful post - it goes into endless reboot loop.

Any ideas? I might have to move to a single GTX570 or so.
This is running with a E8500 at 3.6-3.8Ghz (stock clocks have no change in ability to boot). I'll post voltage and timing values when I get home.

Thanks!
Yeang

The problem is that you have too much of a draw on your SPP chip.  The SPP controls both video cards in SLI, the memory controller, and a few other items.  Try increasing the voltage, as long as you are still within the recommended "safe" voltage settings.

    Hi Vistahead!

Awesome! that was exactly what I was hoping to find out. I suspected something might have been off but wasn't sure what. Will try this as soon as I get home!

    Thanks so much.

You can max it out to the last red setting. I used to run SPP daily at 1.50V on my former 790 Ultra for a few years with no problems (with Q9450 @ 3.6GHz, memory linked/synced).

while benching at max stable CPU & MEM & GPU clocks I was using max 1.55V with no adverse effects either

    <bump> Hi Chronos,

I too have the same issue...

did you try the SPP voltage? I am curious to see if this worked for you?
    I miss my SLI
