OH DUDE im not jelous anymore your using turbo to overclock

turbo can be sustained for only X-amount of time it will sag up and down....still tho your voltage is low

since u cannot overclock with bclk clock anymore on the new uefi bios, u have to use turbo modifier.. it is not possible to get over 107 bclk clock! :).. it is a new way of overclocking asus found that is better, plus it saves some power (and we are a little green to the environment)

so you have to be jealous ;).. turbo can be sustained for the amount of time u want it.. i can even disable turbo and run 5.1 ghz all the time! :)..

btw, my voltage is not too low since i am stable.. have run linx for hours, and testing with games :).. my computer have not been turned off for days ! ;)..

I am Happy

indeed nice fans! :)
looking forward to seeing u in the 5 ghz club! ;).. we are only 2 in there at the moment! :)
very high voltage btw!.. i did 5 ghz with 1.43 stable :P..

but it is real what i am saying :P.. you can't overclock with blck clocking anymore! .. took me a time to get used to i couldn't just put 134.5 in there or something :P.. tried for some time putting in random numbers, adding voltage, taking off voltage.. i couldn't get it to boot what so ever!..
then i went on the internet and after surfing a lot, looking videos and reading , i found out that u can only overclock via multiplier! :)..
it was some new stuff that Asus invented in their "bios" which is called UEFI bios! :P
look this vide .. he works for asus and tells about the new way of overclocking! :)

hey there everyone,
im having some issues getting my 2600k to 5.0 stable. I was able to boot at 5.0 and run 20 passes of intel burntest with 1.432 vcore.

But it wouldnt pass 50 passes so i have been bumping voltage and havnt gotten stable yet, but the computer just reboots and i dont get a BSOD so i dont get a code to go off of.

any ideas. VCCIO is set to 1.2 and Vcore is now around 1.46 volts.

P8P67M-Pro, i know its not the best board for Bios control but i Have seen plenty of people hitting 5.0 on it. Its a pretty decent little microATX board.

you followed my Bios settings? .. i were stable with 1.43 volts vcore..
the other volts leave them on auto! :).. board should handle that fine! :)..

oh and btw,

load-line calibration = ultra high
VRM frequency = auto
Phase control = extreme
Duty control = extreme
CPU current capability = 110%

use these settings too under AI tweaker! :)..

hmm... so u changed the multiplier to 50 and turned of the EPU?.. :)..

voltage should be around 1.43 as i said earlier..

what blue screen are u getting? :)..

this was posted by another member in here... kody7839 if i remember right! :)

"BDOS CODES: Here is a list of Common BDOS Errors and what to do to get rid of them; these suggestions are from trial and error, and many BDOSes from hundreds of hours of overclocking. I have gotten many of these BDOSes and checked them out (tried to cause them) and I have modified that list, here it is.

BSOD Codes  0x124 = add/remove vcore or QPI/VTT voltage (usually Vcore, once it was QPI/VTT)
0x101 = add more vcore
0x50 = RAM timings/Frequency add DDR3 voltage or add QPI/VTT 0x1E = add more vcore
0x3B = add more vcore
0xD1 = add QPI/VTT voltage
0x9C = QPI/VTT most likely, but increasing vcore has helped in some instances
0X109 = add DDR3 voltage
0x0A = add QPI/VTT voltage"

im not getting a blue screen, the computer just reboots. i dont get it.

I dont think my board has EPU, but the TPU is turned off.

the no BSOD is the issue cause i have no way of knowing what went wrong.

Im using a ~1.46 vcore. my board only supports offset voltage control and not manual(major pain in my opinion). I bumped the VCCIO voltage to 1.2 since i read somewhere that bumping that could help with stability at higher speeds, seemed to help a little but nothing major.

other than that, there arent many more options for me to change.
no phase stuff, just can turn LLC on but no levels. PLL voltage is eneabled but again, i cant control the level of that voltage.

PS. im using an H60 for the cooling, Its doing a decent job, i havnt had any alarming temperatures yet.

hmm.. doesn't seem like a good motherboard to overclock on.. u sure there is no manual voltage

try lowering ur voltage to 1.41 on vcore, this guy runs p8p67M pro and 5 ghz.. could be that ur voltage is too high that it just restarts.. :)
http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=3063249

remember to keep an eye on the temps.. was around 5.0 with linx i hit the 86 degrees where the motherboard tool began to alarm me of temps :P..

got mine running 5.1 though without increasing temps.. :P.. but to get to 5.2 i'll have to increase voltage much :/..

btw.. i read this on another forum!

Expectations regarding K series overclocking in general and on ASUS P67 motherboards
 Prior to the recommendations on overclocking the K series, I am outlining our results to set expectations.
The results below are based on the range of the CPU turbo multiplier when overclocking.
Results are representative of 100 D2 CPUs that were binned and tested for stability under load; these results will most likely represent retail CPUs.
1. Approximately 50% of CPUs can go up to 4.4~4.5 GHz
2. Approximately 40% of CPUs can go up to 4.6~4.7 GHz
3. Approximately 10% of CPUs can go up to 4.8~5 GHz (50+ multipliers are about 2% of this group)
