you do know your useing the older non avx data packs that only does about half the gflops. your doing bearly 60 gflops to my 118 which is only stressing half the cpu causing less heat. heat is the only thing that was keeping me from doing a 5.5 run back during summer. now its fall and at night i might be able to do it. im waiting to hear back from IsrBarP on how he wants to handle this.

d/l the new ones and try again,http://gigaflopd.com/downloads/linx/ , just watch your temps because if your doing 91 now these will push you over 100'c easy.

yes im being a soar looser but just pointing out all things being fair.

in any case here

Not a problem. I,m in the process of putting this chip under water, and let the games begin.
Meaning I'll run the avx version as you pointed out, and top my current speed.

Since i have 2 slots reserved, i will seperate the lists..

there will be a list with people using non AVX and one for people who does..

i will see what i can do in the means with making some advance to the people who joins with..

i will update the requirements to join , so that people can only join the club from now on with the new AVX standard..

i will see what i can do when i get home from school later on  ^^..

well i already posted a 5.4 (see post 199) on the older pack and its freezing here today, so ill try and get one with the avx pack tonight.

@ awalleyeguy from what im seeing most chips are maxing out at 5.5-5.6. i know for a fact i max out at 5.550ish. no matter how much voltage i throw at the chip, it wont boot above that.

this is the first "evga club" ive been top anything in so im holding on to it with everything i got.

Im trying to join the club and i have no doubt i will. My only question is are you all sustaining these overclocks for everyday use?

Or are they just a 1 time thing?

I have an i7 990x with vcore at 1.525 and I am able to get a stable 5.1 GHz overclock, but im concerned about the temps.

I have a unique watercooling system. I have in line temp probes that take the water temp. The water temp NEVER rises above 25C but my cpu temp software says some of my cores are up to 85C. My cpu itself doesnt get above 50C though. Is it alright for my cores to get higher as long as the cpu stays within safe limits?
