4080 Super launched yesterday. I received notifications from both ASUS and NVidia and clicked through as soon as I got them and all were sold out within minutes. Looking at EBay now and there are plenty of them there - all selling for 30-40%+ markup. I despise scalpers. Clearly the demand is there or nobody would be throwing their money at these scumbags.

Probably just as well since I was planning on waiting for the 5000 series anyway, and it appears the 4080 Super is a step down from the 3090 Ti when it comes to rendering, although certainly the 4080 Super is better for gaming.

Anyone here manage grab a 4080 Super?

4090 cards still retailing for $2,000+ despite launching in 2022. Smh.

Make me a +1 for the 5000 series.  I am not really impressed with the 4070 TI or 4080 Super.  The 4070 Super, however, seems a decent step up for those wanting it.  I have more than enough fps with my 4070 TI non super for now.

If you get one, you'll need this -----> NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Drivers 551.31 WHQL (For 4080 Super Only)

Hopefully the 5xxx series is coming at the end of this year. I also hope the price can be lower.  (I guess I can 'hope')

if you really want one, I'd keep an eye on Best Buy and just check the page a few times a day. I got lucky with an MSRP 4090 a while back. The one I shipped to my local BB was the only one they had ever seen lol. The dude was like "how did you get this?"...but it was just lucky to have opened the page that day and have it set on my local store. I'm guessing they send some to regional distribution and that green-lights the stores in that region until they're gone. So with new shipments to the regional distribution regularly, all you can do is just regularly check the site and try to get lucky.

The 4080 was already way too much money. the 4080S at MSRP is not an absolutely awful price for the market, but it's basically just a price adjustment assuming they exist. When they're gone or AIBs are charging 20% more, it's pretty hard to justify.

6Q6CPFHPBPCU691 is a discount code anyone can use.

The 4080 super is at an MSRP lower than the original 4080 so I see that as the only major advantage.

As a business you have to make money. AI is the center point of NVIDIA's efforts as the revenue stream is very high. The NVIDIA RTX 4090 is still the best consumer graphics card so NVIDIA is in no hurry to rush their next gen GPU series.

I almost had a 4080 super. Back ordered a Zotac 4080 Super from Amazon on launch day. Zotac shipped it to Amazon. Amazon placed the unopened Zotac shipping box in there own Amazon box. Long story short, Zotac shipping box labeled OK as 4080 Super Extreme Aero only to find a 4070 Ti Super carton inside. So sad.

So someone at Zotac‘s factory or distribution plant did this? A good reason to never consider their bull crap products ever again.

Yup error was all Zotac and as everyone knows 4080 Super now even harder to obtain. While I kept hunting for a card an Asus 4090 tuf popped up on Amazon. Call me a sucker, yes I purchased it and it arrived this past Wed. Who am I... Just look for the guy with a bleeding wallet and about this close to a divorce lol.

Fyi as of 3/2/24 5:18am Hawaii time Amazon's got the 4080 TUF "In Stock" for $1099.99 at the moment.

Debating if I should return the 4090 and get the 4080 TUF.

Thing is I haven't got the refund for the Zotac 4080 yet.

Might be too much refund doe to be waiting for.

ASUS had their ROG-STRIX-RTX4080S-O16G-GAMING card available for a little while this morning, it's gone out of stock again now though. You can sign up for notification when it comes back in stock (link).

I have more than what shows.  I lost a dozen or two in a forum corruption years ago.

I got the financial credit for them, but there was no way to fix what displays in the forum without breaking everything else or creating special programming for special cases.
