Hello just recently got a 3080ti and man, even my 6800xt tuf from asus was doing better, I don’t know if it’s a faulty product or what but I’m kinda disappointed, does anyone has a good overlock configuration? I’m even thinking about trading this Card because of this. I expected more

in your opinion if the xc3 was the only card someone may have chance at with their almost expired coupon would you buy and sell this and just wait for the ftw3? i currently have a 3080ftw3 holding me over. the 3080ti was for my gaming build.

I really hope there's not a hidden gimp to the xc3 3080 TI.

What benchmarks have you run that are making you feel that the 3080ti is performing worse than the 6800xt?

On fire strike it performed well = But on on time spy it doesn’t go well at all, this is with my predecessor 6800xt tuf asus = And with the evga 3080 ti = Also on gta 5 the amd was doing so much better, reaching 140 fps on ultra, but with the 3080 ti xc3 is going 80fps to 110 max…. It’s kinda disappointing .

We can't see any of the links you're posting. Maybe try posting the IDs only. Regarding GTA5, I don't think a 3080ti should be performing like that, especially in a game usually preferred by Nvidia. Have you tried using DDU to reinstall your drivers?

The underperformance being discussed for it should put it slightly below a 3080ti FE, not make it significantly worse to the point that a 6800XT is giving 140 frames while the Ti goes down to 80-120. There is definitely something else at play here.

The 3080 Ti FE card at stock speeds is beating a overclocked 3080 Ti XC3 Hydro Copper. That's how bad this issue is.

That makes sense. An overclocked hydro card doesn't change the fact thay the card is power limited. The extra thermal performance is essentially wasted. The difference in Synthetic/non gaming benchmarks is 6-8%. Thats not going to be covered by an overclock on a power limited card. The difference in actual games should be 1-3%. What the OP is describing is not what is happening here. Even if a 3080ti was performing close to a 3080 non-ti, it should still be equal to a 6800XT.

That's still very strange. Have you tried any other games? What is the power usage on the card if you don't mind posting?

That's the power supply. I mean what is the power usage of the card while gaming or running benchmarks as reported by hwinfo64 or gpuz.

Do you have Precision X1 installed? If so, try to see if your power target is actually hitting 100%. I've had an instance of my 3070 running 25% max power target after some sort of update (either driver or Windows) and was running like crap until I reset the power target bar in PX1.

You're hitting almost 350W so it does not seem to be power related. What's the GPU usage during gameplay? I'm guessing you're playing at 1440p?

Hit the "Default" button and apply. if you're seeing 100% power, it's likely something else.

I figure out what the issue was, I just reinstalled windows and it solved, Somehow nvidia wasn't recognizing the games. After formating and reinstalling windows it solved the issue

i just downloaded the latest drivers today that enabled I think DLSS for Red Dead Redemption 2 and played with 3080TI XCc, temps high 70's , FPS was 100 on average is that good for 1440p? All I know is the game played fantastic and looked amazing. leaps and bounds better then my old 980TI. I can't compare it to any other 3080TI, but I am just happy to get the card at MSRP Also what program do you use to see how much power it is drawing? I am curious what my card draws in power? EDIT: nevermind I just ran 3dmark quick test Time Spy with HWINFO and shows my maximum GPU power was 348 TDP, I don't know if that is good or bad. The score was 18704

Stock Nvidia 3080 Ti FE card. Do you like paying 3080 Ti FE price and getting less performance?

No I don't but I have never been a huge fan of synthetic benchmarks I don't even know what 18704 means compared to 19828, from what I can see I ran another test benchmarking with RDR2 with their in game benchmark, I saw sustained GPU power with HWINFO 330-348 TDP, but it fluctuated a lot within that range. I never did see it hit 350, but never saw it below 330 How much difference are we talking in terms of FPS from a Founder Edition to the EVGA one? if we are talking 5-10 fps, not super worried. If we are talking huge difference like 20 FPS, then yeah would not be happy with that If they can fix it great! If not well, I am not going to worry about it as long as my games run as they should at ultra settings I guess. It not like I had many choices when it comes to video card options LOL I would be more interested to compared a EVGA 3080TI xc3 vs Founder edition in real gaming benchmarks to see the difference to be honest.

The difference wont be more than 2-3 fps at most. You can see a comparison between the two GPUs here https://hothardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-review?page=3 Your card is working fine kongfra. You'll get really good performance is every task. Despite the XC3 performing a little under the FE, it is significantly cheaper than the FTW3 and the extra performance (3-6% in games) you get from the FTW3 is not worth $200 IMO.

That is what I thought, yeah I am not worried about 1-2 FPS, and won't lose any sleep or regret my purchase at all. Besides so far the 3080TI XC3 runs super cool compared to my older 980TI, and just looks and runs amazing in every game I tried @ 1440P. Even tempted to get a 4K monitor but on the fence if I want to spend more money right now, maybe a Christmas present to myself at end of year. If I did not even see this thread I would not have thought twice or even known about the issue. I was glad when my notify queue email to order came up and it was the base model to save money. I was afraid it would have been the top end cards and would have had to made a real hard decision if I wanted to spend that much more. This was an easy decision as soon as I got my email.
