Are these two PCB dimensions the same? EVGA lists the 3080ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming as over an inch longer than the Ultra Gaming. Is the extra length just the fan shroud and what not?

Why? What temps are you seeing with the Hydro Copper block? I wanted to do the opposite, as I'm not happy with the temps from the EK 3080ti block.

What are you getting for the EK waterblock? I found that tightening the 4 screws after the thermal pads are warmed up made a pretty big difference. Compared to my first mount, I was 22-23C above water. Now after my third mount, I'm 18-19C above water temperature. Playing games that draw 350-375W, I'm 14-25C above water temperatures.

For cosmetic purposes. I really like how the ek vector looks but I have the evga 3080 ti ftw3 ultra hydro copper and not sure if the ek vector for the 3080 ti will fit.

FTW3 3080ti/EK WB- I’m seeing 54c max load(398w) with a water temp of 35c and 20c ambient room temp(after 1/hr of Battlefield 1). This is with 7 Lian li SL120 Uni fans running at 1850-1900rpm with 2x360 rads in o11 XL. The rads are an EK PE360 up top set as intake and a HWL GTX360 on the bottom set as intake also, with the rear as exhaust. I’m also running EK’s front o11 XL distro w/D5 pump @70% fixed. Fans/pump are running from an Aquacomputer quadro and are set to react to coolant temp. The CPU is a 9900k @5ghz with no OC on the 3080ti. I honestly feel like my temps should be better than this. No matter what I do to this block or case configuration, I can’t get the temps any lower. I’ve tried taking all of the panels off, reseating the block(3 times) and upgrading the thermal pads to “better” Gelid thermal pads. Might just order an Optimus block and be done with it. Everyone I’ve come across with an Optimus block is at least 10-12c lower than the EK block at max load.

The PCB is identical...you should have no issues popping off the HC Blcok and installing the EK Vector n Backplate... My 3080 FTW3 Ultra: My Card idles at whatever the Ambient temp is, Full Load a few hrs of AAA Titles or looping PR I sit around +23c above ambient. Room temp 20c, Card loads at 39c - 46c...depending upon the Title. I would expect temps to go up w the 3080Ti I'll be swapping to next week. Im running 1*480 / 1*360 / 1*240 Rads XSPC RX Series (so quite thick with very low FPI (High Static Pressure Noctua Fans) - D5 Vario Pump set to 3000 RPM - 9900K @ 5-5.1 Ghz / 3080 @ +135 / +750 - My Delta between Ambient n Liquid at idle is very low, as in 5c - 7c, good way to check if you aren't running a liquid thermal temp sensor is simply look at your GPU idle temps, in a well set up loop it will idle extremely close to your liquid temp and this should be very very close to ambient. I have never felt it necessary to have one (most of us old Water Heads dont bother) as I have my GPU Temps available either on desktop in Notifications or "in game OSD". This same WC set up used to cool the 9900K w SLi 1080Ti's. Great temps on that set up as well. EK Blocks from GTX 780Ti to 1080Ti to 3xxx Series and CPU Blocks from Supremacy to Velocity have been great ;)

Yep, that's exactly what I went through. I reseated it 3 times too lol. The 3rd time I double washer the four screws and now I'm at +18C over water temperature instead of +22C. That being said, even if you got your GPU temperatures down, it's not like you're going to get anymore performance out of your GPU. I did some testing to study the extra boost vs temperatures and it's not like the 10 and 20 series which say boosts as low at 38C. The reason why I did this was because I was interested in what TechPowerUp did, they didn't test lower than 65C. There's not a whole lot going on below 58C. I think as long as your card isn't going past 58C, you're not missing out much.

I get that for sure, but as dumb as it may sound, I’ll probably just pickup an Optimus block when they become available again because I just want lower temps. Stupid. I know. I suck.

And that's perfectly fine. Getting pleasure out of the science behind hardware and components is also pleasurable to me. I would probably grab a Optimus too if I wasn't married with a kid and had a mortgage and didn't spend like $4K this year in computer parts lol

I agree with spending way too much on PC parts this year, I’m somewhere north of $5k myself. But we need it.. Right? Right? 😂

From what I have seen, the HC gives results similar to EK and sometimes worse. If you want better results, you're probably going to have to go with Optimus.

That’s what I’m seeing. My 2080ti never went above 46c no matter what I did, and I know that’s not an apples-to-apples comparison, being that the 3080ti is ~100+ more watts at full load. But I still want sub 50c at full load on my GPU.

I'll buy your hydrocopper block off you if you'd like to recoup some of the costs :)

They'll need to keep it for warranty purposes =/
