What kindof bios flash? You mean old version without Rebar?

Dont know, but I think yes. what do they mean by the 9 steps then ? 
 
steps to reproduce :
1.  take a 3080 FTW3 Ultra
2.  Flash XOC 450W bios on both Normal and OC switches
3.  Install and boot 1.1.7 PX1
4.  Open PX1 1.1.7
5.  Allow all updates to the card (MCU ect)
6.  Uninstall PX1 1.1.7
7.  Install and boot 1.1.8 PX1
8.  Initiate the BIOS update procedure
9.  Reboot to find fan issues with reporting on Fan3 and no fan curve for Fan4 (ext)

Those are the steps to reproduce this whole issue.

You need to slow down and read everything from the beginning, you're tripping over yourself.

Same issue here after updating VBIOS to enable RE-BAR on my 3080 FTW3 Ultra (Black Lips). Fans #1 & #2 never go below 33 and the slider sync is completely off.

I have EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra hybrid.
 
Issue:
One of the radiator fans stops spinning after waking PC from sleep. The other fans goes full speed.
 
Temp Fix:
Push the stopped fan and it will spins to normal and the other fan speed spin to normal.

And 5 days later, there's still no word on the what's going on with the reported issues. Clearly it looks like a bugged MCU firmware, which just needs to be fixed.. C'mon. This seriously has me wondering will this be the last EVGA thingy I'll ever buy, after all this fiasco such a highly premium product is living up to be.

According to Jacob on Twitter there’s a fix coming this week or next be patient. Most people don’t know how hard it is to get code to work together and not cause more issues. Let them try to perfect a fix.

I saw that HWInfo also incorrectly report fan speed percentage for FAN 1&2 now, but correctly for Fan 3, as well as correct RPM reporting.

0% fan speed stopped working for me in afterburner after rebar bios (manually updated with file). Am I right to assume this is related?

I had the EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra and installed the Hybrid Cooler on it. Flashed the newest EVGA Firmware/Bios for the 3080 Ultra Hybrid, and sure enough, my fans are stuck at 44% for fan 1 on the rad, and 40% for fan 2 on the rad... This is super annoying, would appreciate a fix, as it has been weeks.

Now they say it’s normal for the fans to do this when I asked today about the update..really conflicted on if I want to sell my EVGA 3080 and get another brand.

In regards to the 33% issue > If you are using the "OC" mode along with the XOC BIOS, 33% is normal. Looks like the original XOC BIOS was not set correctly. The only difference between Normal and OC mode is the fan curve. OC mode has a more aggressive fan curve and no 0dB mode.
 
So to fix this, flip to the "Normal" BIOS, reboot, then apply this BIOS https://cdn.evga.com/bios...s/3897_Normal_450W.zip
 
After reboot you should see the 0% option come back along with 450W max limit and Resizable Bar.

Got the same problem and my fans plugged into the gpu aren't spinning



This issue was fixed in the latest PX1 just released via MCU update.

The issue is for me the fans are not reading right my 3rd fan still says 0% but runs at 37% and my 1-2 fans say 33% but run at 37% and have a 100rpm difference so there’s has to be an issue with the controller not sending the right information to the software

Hi Jacob, any idea on how to fix the slider not being in Sync with the rest of the fans? I just updated via PX1 today and the issue still persists. (currently on OC VBIOS Switch) Re-Bar also shows that its "disabled" in PX1 v1.1.9.0 even though its enabled on my system.

Version 1.1.9 still has fans at 33%


If you are on the OC BIOS, this is how it should work.  If you want the option to be able to configure the fans down to 0%, then you should be using the Normal BIOS.

Tested : This fix sets the Fan4 at a fixed low PWM value (~45%).  In Auto mode it is not matching the PWM value of the other fans.  Please release the fix so that Fan4 that will match the other fan speeds.

This is not a bug, since the External Fan header is not designed to work at an auto speed with the other fan headers.  As such, there is no default Auto fan speed for the External Fan header, which is why this version sets a default speed for the external header when connected.  If you wish to have an auto curve for the External Header, then you will need to enable the software curve setting and set a profile for the fans, including the External Fan.

For the 33% thing why is the 3rd fan still reporting 0% and not 33%? Also why are all 3 fans running higher @ 37% than reported the 33%?

Go to your NVIDIA Control Panel and click on "System Information" on the bottom left. If it says Re-Bar is enabled you don't have to worry. I am having the same issue where PX1 says it isn't enabled. You can check GPU-Z for double confirmation.

GpuZ and Geforce showing it's working. Just wanted to note that x1 is now reporting it's not when it was reporting it as working before.
