Anyone else have this issue? I literally watch other streamers/YT that have 170 frames on like an 2080ti. Shouldn't my 3080 ftw3 ultra be just killing it? I've even tried bringing shadows down to normal from extra and reduced everything nothing is getting me to 144+ FPS.
 
 
One last thing, i have MSI afterburner what should i set my clock speeds at without going too crazy on my card? Also my thermals are typcially 65*C.

Those youtubers usually turn everything down to the lowest and run their game on 1080p.

What CPU are you using? If you're not seeing more frames you're probably CPU bound. Make sure you don't have nvidia reflex turned on as well, that will cap your fps to under your monitor's refresh rate.

Oh i have reflex latency +boost on actually. Every streamer says to go boost.

If you can't run the game at 2x or 3x your monitor's refresh rate, having nvidia reflex turned on gives you the least input lag so I'd keep it on.

What resolution are you running, and what's your monitor's refresh rate?

144mhz, 1440p,  and i'm usually getting like 110-130. I know i won't get benefit over 144 but still i'd like to see my FPS at least 150-160 even if there's no benefit.

There's incredibly little information to go about in this thread.

Your game settings along with thermal points would help.  RTX, special effects, shading, etc settings all will affect your fps.  Amount of ram you have and what type, percentage being used during gaming?  There is a lot more info that could be shared here to help you find out where you are at and why.  Are you using a hdmi cable or DP cable?  Where are you getting your thermal info from?  Your gpu has different thermal points which can affect overall performance.  Are you running nvme drives or mechanical?  
 
There's more to your fps than just the cpu/gpu.  If there are any choke points outside of those then that could also limit performance.

Everything extra settings but i've tried normal for all the big VRAM hitters.  RTX off b/c it doesn't work in Warzone it's been confirmed, i turned off DLSS.  32gb of 3600 ram that's been juiced up in BIOS. display port. NXZT, after burner, warzone thermals, they're fine i never run over 70C.  Yes the most expensive NVME, i have top of the line everything in my ITX PC. I doubt that my ROG STrix i570 mobo is a reason why i'm getting poor performance? I mean it's running smooth af i just have OCD and want to see ****ing 300 FPS. I didn't dish out for a ryzen 5900x, 3080 ftw ultra, 3600 rpm 32gb ram sticks, rog strix MOBO, LG 850-b monitor, etc to have a meh build if you know what i mean. 

one last thing i am using NVIDIA filters and this definitely drops the rates a bit but usually like 10 frames. I also have Gsnyc on my LG 850-B. 
 
 
In windows you have game mode on? I've seen some YT videos saying this may affect your game play. 

I'm probably run similar settings for cod and I'm getting around 175 to 250 in warzone and 300-350 multi-player, but I have a 3090 which is a little more than the 3080 is for cod.  Did you update the nvivida drivers lately?  I couple of weeks ago I needed to update the drivers cause my frame rate was like crap.  I went directly to Nivdia for that one.  
 
I don't run afterburner, but does it allow you to measure temps across your gpu or only at the die?  Do you have GPU-Z downloaded where you can see your power draw across the ports and PCI-E slots?  It should also be able to provide you temps from multiple points from your gpu.

~120fps is expected for your settings. You gotta turn everything down to the lowest setting have more frames.
Nvidia filters causes an extra 10-20 fps penalty when turned on, and if you run into the ~140fps frame limiter, you need to turn off nvidia reflex.


Btw you probably won't see 300fps on a 3080, and most spots in Verdansk is CPU bound anyway, you'd be hard pressed to see more than 260++fps even with a 3090 unless you're at certain spots.

A 3090 would help. I haven't tried Warzone, but I did try out that 'Cold War' game(only because I got it for free). I noticed it was consuming 16GB of VRAM.
