Has anyone noticed this? When I reserved my card, 3070 xc3 ultra the price was $549 now 2 months later waiting on some form of notification, the price is $629.99. Not impressed with the state of affairs.

There is numerous threads on this, so yea people noticed. Please read those threads, as EVGA has already stated they will honor their original price through early April, so they have basically given 3 months noticed that there will be a price increase.

... this sort of reaction is specifically why EVGA also added a prominent notice right on the product pages that anyone currently in the queue would get the original pricing if their order was processed on or before 16 April - so yeah, someone did notice.
Granted, you still need to have your order processed on or before then so it’s not a perfect solution, but it’s better than nothing.

Nothing is exactly what I have to show for being on the list.
Because of Covid I didn't get on the list till I knew I could afford the video card at $810 plus shipping. We do not even have a formal statement of how many cards they will push through before April.
The only thing the majority of us are going to get is having to pay more. Then if we have to rma it because of the pressure of demand affecting quality, we will be further required to spend even more.
We are in the 5th month of the launch. We are still in the first few days based on the list. So someone like me is literally looking at not seeing a video card for 2 to 3 years to be available to buy at this pacing.
All I can do is complain. Not a single person is actually trying to do anything to help anyone anywhere to work the system to obtain a video card except the people selling bot nets to scalpers. That is the actual truth here.

Write your congressman and Senator. Its due to tariffs.
As for queue system, I've bought 3 cards using it. It works great.

I am only on the queue system for 1 video card. I don't have a use for more than 1 video card.
I am years away from seeing anything from the queue system. Congrats on having gotten 3 video cards mr scalper.

This is why I jumped on the fastest queue back months ago.. I am happy with my 3090 ftw3 ultra. The second PC I am building will have a lower end card and not one based on NVIDIA.. specifically because of price/availability. I actually went AMD 6900 XT (ASROCK brand) for that... I did a private sale for an unopened card.. 200 over list. Why? Because no other cards were available near list and the notify queue and step up queues here for a card were just too long. I doubt this will change when new cards and cpus are out next year.

lol, at the rate they're going, it's unlikely most people will even get that notification email before april. especially if you're on the list for a XC3 non-ultra card...

It does not look like it's getting any better anytime soon, Nvidia said in October stock shortages would get better in Q1 of 2021. Yesterday Nvidia said the shortages will likely last until the end of Q1. I was hoping March / April things would be better but at this rate it is not looking like things are going to be changing.

Let's be clear: it's just a toy.
And if its for work - you should buy a pre-built system, 3080 systems are available all the time on new egg.

Prebuilts are going up in prices in early February...I needed a quick build for my office so I just picked up an ibuypower with a 3080/5900x with the DEFER coupon code for 1700.00 (
End of year sale)...32gig 3200mhz, x570asus prime.. This same machine will be 2100.00 Feb 1st... So if your thinking of a prebuilt..you better buy it now.

This happens every year, all tech is about to go up in price, it tends to sneak up in price around the 2nd half of January and once we get to the end of February, those are the prices you are going to see until the next big holiday, we'll have some rare deals in between now the middle of September.
