So after reading the temps people are getting on here, my temps are unusually high. While playing a game at stock boost (1980/7000) the temps go up to 68C. Fans are running at 100% and I was wondering how could I get the temps alot lower. Case: Phanteks P400s CPU cooler: EVGA clc 240 and I have no other fans installed in the case.

How are your radiators configured in your case?

I'm guessing you're running CPU rad as front intake and GPU rad as rear exhaust?  The cooler can only reduce temps to a delta above ambient, if your CPU rad is exhausting into the case the air going over the GPU rad will be pre-warmed. If you can try mounting the CPU as top exhaust, GPU rear exhaust and stick some front intakes on there. Then you'll have cool air coming in and hot air exhausting out.

If that's not your setup and both are exhaust perhaps you aren't getting enough cool air in, you say you have no other case fans so could be that.

If neither of those are the case what's your room temp?  Again GPU temp will be a delta above ambient.

Those temps are way too much. I believe Jonny is correct. The only way you would have that high of a temp is if your exhausting hot air into your case.

Don't be fooled thou, if your temps are 68 they arn't going to go down but 10-15c.

My friend set the cpu rad up where the fans are facing away from the inside of the case so i don't know what that means. Gpu rad fan is facing towards inside of case. If i put in 3 case fans on top how much would the temps drop by? Also, which is better 120mm fans or 140mm

I feel compelled to chime in since I just swapped out a 2080 XC Ultra for a 2080 FTW3 Hybrid yesterday.

When I initially installed my Hybrid card I swapped the supplied 120mm fan with one of my ThermalTake Pure Plus 12 RGB radiator fans. When I did this I installed the fan to pull air in from the back with the top fan as exhaust and the front 2x140mm radiator fans pulling in from the front. As you can imagine, this was a mistake. I was getting temps as high as 74 Celsius on the card while under load, which was worse than the 70 Celsius I was getting with the XC Ultra with dual fans. Honestly, at first I thought my pump was broken.

After doing a little reading online I flipped my GPU radiator fan to push air through the radiator and out of the back. This seemingly small change dropped my max GPU temps down to around 64 Celsius under load. But then I realized that I might just have enough room to squeeze another ThermalTake 120mm fan in to make it a push/pull configuration, pulling air through the rad and out of the back. I was happy to discover that I was able to make this setup fit (just barely). And I'm even happier to report that my max temps, even in BF5 on "Ultra settings", never exceed 58 Celsius while overclocked +110 core clock and +800 memory. I specifically mention BF5 because that's the game that drove my max GPU temps to 74 Celsius with my initial Hybrid GPU setup with the fan pulling air in from the back.

So definitely make sure that if you are mounting your radiator in the back that the fan is oriented to push or pull air through the radiator and out of the case. And if you can fit a push/pull configuration, DEFINITELY do that as it does make a difference (6 Celsius, in my case).

Here's a pic of my final configuration in an NZXT h500 case, for reference:

Nice setup. Question on the Radiator orientation. Should I have the tubes at the bottom or at the top? I have the Hybrid 2080ti and I notice a humming noise from the unit.

Thanks! Everything I've read says the EVGA GPU radiator should be mounted with the hoses at the bottom to prevent air from getting trapped in the loop that goes through the GPU pump. I believe the instructions even show it mounted with the hoses at the bottom. If you mounted your radiator with the hoses at the top then maybe you are hearing humming from the pump because it's air and not just liquid getting pushed through it. No idea if that's the case but something to consider and worth testing.

In fact, I intended to mount my Kraken x62 AIO with the hoses at the bottom, but NZXT's instructions have the hoses at the top, so I stuck with that. Still debating on whether I should flip it or not.

What screws are you using to bolt in the fan on top as well as second radiator fan ? I have cpu radiator as intake and gpu as exhaust and my temps go 75+ on anthem with mild overclock . i just switched gpu rad so that hoses are at bottom then top. Sorry for late reply but im getting worried about my card. Also do you have your pc setup as open case like in pic when uou play ?
