fresh cold early morning bench on air January 3, 2019
Timespy Regular Score 16213
Precision X1 version 3.7 because 3.11 is bogus and doesn't let me clock high enough for some reason.
Core is OC to +87 Mem OC to +1200 124% PWR 97%Fans 0 on the Voltage
2100MHz on Benchmark, obviously varies and I have hit higher numbers with different OC, but this was the highest Time spy Graphics score.
As for the CPU, well I hit higher scores, but I have it at 5.1GHz @1.296VCore and it is fine for an 8086k. All in all this is about the 2080 ti score, so...here are some pics of the rig.
Furthermore, I am getting the Waterblock for the card and because it is hydro-copper, I have decided to go with the Bykski 240 Copper Radiator Water cooling Kit (
https://www.amazon.com/Bykski-Radiator-Cooling-Supportsynchronous-Motherboard/dp/B07KG9WLQ1/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1546249628&sr=8-8&keywords=water%2Bcooling%2Bpump%2Band%2Breservoir%2Bcustom&th=1 )
Above it all, I would like to see the clocks go up and see it make a difference in DXR like on BFV. As of right now, the game likes to crash if I OC it too high. I am using a 1080p 144Hz BenQ Zowie XL and I have reached 130-140fps in BFV MAX settings, but unstable and shuts off client. This is due to throttling. If I can achieve 144fps stable with the water block, then I will upgrade my monitor to see if 1440 or 2160 is fathomable, but only 144Hz of course, maybe with gsync, I'll see about it. $$$.
Anywho, I will try to post some Youtube videos of the building process and see what gains I get and if it is worth it in the end. Otherwise, returns will happen lol.
Love you all @EVGA keep up the good work.
Also, I got off of the phone with an EVGA Tech Support Specialist and we discussed the gains of waterblocking versus the Hybrid kit. Waterblocking eliminates the fans' usage of power, leaving it all for the OC while at the same time lowering temps of all hot components. He said I should even achieve higher and more stable MHz in benching and see gains in FPS on my games.
Cheers!
