Just out of curiosity, but why doesn't EVGA open pre-orders for everyone and give indications of expected fulfillment dates? That way they have a clear indication of expected sales (give or take) and it would be a lot less stressful for the customers. I don't mean this as direct criticism, just curious as to why they choose to handle their sales this way. It seems to me this also takes more effort on their end.

If they do not have a fairly certain  estimate of delivery dates, I can't see how this can be done. If 2 months pass withjjout delivery being possible, for example, they'll have lots of trouble with people who want to opt out (maybe to buy cards of another brand).

Any specifics on when yet?  Assuming, if it's happening, it'll be today (for US).  I couldn't buy one last Friday due to some "general error with PayPal" at the time but hoping to snag one today. 
 
I am officially driving a dead PC at home until I buy a new GPU (sold my last 1080 Ti FTW3 card yesterday in anticipation of buying a 2080 Ti FTW3).

For the people who ordered the FTW3 directly from EVGA when it was in stock on the website and already got it (both EU and NA): how long did it take for the card to arrive from the moment you ordered?
 
Jacob mentioned there might be some EU stock by the end of the month and I want to try to get one. I'd like to know if after ordering I can expect to get the card within a few days.
I made a preorder with a UK retailer, but ETA is mid December, so, I'm trying to see if I can get one from EVGA sooner and cancel my preorder.

I ordered mine on a Friday afternoon and it shipped the next Monday morning and I received it today on Wednesday at about noon.  So it was really fast. Came in perfect shape from UPS ground. But I live in Arizona so that might be why it was so fast. I paid no tax, no shipping and Evga covered the charge for the signature required by using PayPal.

Yes, but it is price at $100 over what Evga MSRP is. Also checked with B&H chat, cannot price match. According to them, there is a "Unilaterally Locked in price" that cannot be changed.

You know, I would actually like to have a chance at ordering this as a pre-order instead of waiting for an email that says stock is available only to have to re-do auto-notify because it's sold out. I have cash and EVGA doesn't want me to order this thing. I've been baited every freakin' time I get the email. I don't have all the time in the world to monitor emails, forums and social media just to buy something I want. EVGA sales team need to stop mucking around and get with the program.
 
I expected to have my very own card before X-mas time. If I cannot get my own by mid-January, I'm not going to bother with purchasing this product. It just shows that EVGA was not ready to meet supply and demand despite knowing that enthusiast want the high end card over their mid-range product.

Just shutting off computer for the night 7:50pm... a few minutes ago.... checked email.... B&H Photo had the FTW3!!!!  I RAN to get my CC, processed transaction, and it actually went thru without saying "No stock remaining".....      :)
 
OMG, I'm sooo pumped!!   There is a God!!

I really want to order this, but I just cant get over the fact that B&H is pricing the card $100 above MSRP on a card that is $150 more expensive than the FE, which is already $200 more expensive than the Nvidia MSRP for 2080 TI. Also, this is double what I paid for my 1080 TI

Best bet is to follow @EVGA_JacobF on Twitter and turn on notifications. He tweets when stock will be going up and it’s far better that evga’s email notifications.

His last tweet was today about 4 hours ago stating stock would be up at around 4pm PT.

Its true, I have never used Twitter before this.  I really don't care for social media at all. But Jacob was very informative with his Twitter updates and that is the only reason I was able to snag a card on my 3rd try.  Get the app on your phone and then add Jacob.  U will have your card sooner than you think and then you can just cancel the twitter app if you want. It's worth it to get the best 2080TI...….
