I suppose that the 2080Ti KPE will probably come late Q1 2019 :/  And probably be like 1600-1700 USD sadly :( Hopefully there will be a Hydro Copper version again :)

Yup, I think your right on with the drop time. Def wont be before Feb 1 2019. The price on the other hand I don't think is going to be that high. Nvidia has already priced these cards out of a lot of peoples hands, which im sure has upset all there partners too since its going to kill there profits and make things very hard for them to offer custom design cards like the kingpin at reasonable prices. My guess would be that the Kingpin cards will probably be a much smaller lot quantity than usual and maybe only a single run. At these prices they are def going to have to do things a little differently, make some compromises somewhere to get the same build/performance quality as the previous gens. If AMD was ever going to take a swipe at Nvidia and try to pull the rug out from under them with a great performance card at a good price, this is the time. The PC world sure has heated up in the last 2 years, which is good for us in the end!

1080ti msrp: $699 with the ftw3 around $779 before the mining hikes.

Kingpin launch $999

You don’t think the price would be that high?

We are already seeing $1300 cards released. $1500+ is definitely logical at this point. $1600 is very easily justified with the new prices.

The XC Ultra with a reference pcb is $1249. Custom PCB’s only go up after that. There is still an SC2 and FTW3 to be released with all the fancy lights and stuff.

If the FTW3 runs $1400 and the Kingpin has an extra $200+ premium like previously seen, the $1600+ Will mean nothing to those that need the points on the 3d mark hall of fame. Hell, add a waterblock to that for another $150, and we creep closer and closer to $2k on a “consumer ln2 card”.

Of course, we have to wait and see what K|ngp|n and T|n release.

Well,I was baseing my guess on the Ti FE being 1199.99, which means most cards will start at 1099, so then your FTW types would come back up to 1199 or 1299 for the crazier higher tier cards. So kingpin shouldn't top out higher then 1400 unless we get back into the whole gouging/scalping mess again. I sincerely hope its that cheap or cheaper for you guys cause I wouldn't touch this gen unless im given one for free, lol. Theres no way im spending that kind of money beta testing nvidias new arch, new hard and soft tech, new drivers and lets throw in gsync and bfgd. This whole mess needs to cook for a year in public and then when the second gen drops it will be worth it.

I could see it in the $1500-$1600+.  That's basically two 2080s + NVLink.  I'd go with the later if it's for Ultra settings, high FPS on high res/hz unless those folks are solely after benchmarks even though you'll never beat Kingpin himself.

I am ready to read the “my aircooled kingpin designed for Ln2 overclocking died on air” threads... those are always heartbreaking but oh so common.

To masterminer, if people aren’t using ln2, why is there a card designed to be used with ln2? People may be foolish enough with their money to spend an extra $300-500 dollars for a few points, but on air, they are only financing their ability to show off their wallet online.

No water cooling the the world will help these new RTX 2080ti Kingpin cards if EVGA continues to use garbage R33 Inductors. I had Hybrid card burn out same way many others burned out. No overclocking. No cryptomining. Just one day R33 inductor gave up and I smelled burning plastic.

EVGA should stop showing off RTX 2000s shroud/fan pics and show us bare naked PCB. I want to see if they have made changes to the PCB to prevent another generation of EVGA cards frying due to garbage R33 Inductors! If they have continued on the path of poor engineering more people will be disappointing with their products.

The 1080 ti kingpin used R15 inductors, so I highly doubt the 2080 ti kingpin will use R33.

I am kind of scared of what the price was after seeing what people would pay for a 1080ti during the mining craze. I really hope that period of madness hasn’t caused NVIDIA to feel prices of the 10 series was to low. Not to complain but I would like to see like $150-200 premium for a kingpin card.

I expect to EVGA RTX 2080 Ti K|NGP|N Hydro Copper be best K|NGP|N model ever launched.

That's a very good news. Glad to hear EVGA stepping away from putting faulty component into their video cards. I've also seen video tear down by Gamer's Nexus with EVGAs 1080 FTW3 changes. Good to see them re-engineering the PCB to hopefully permanently fix the problems of 900/1000 series. Lessons learned the hard way.

I would like to see them post a picture of the new PCB so we can admire any changes to the PCB. It's the inside which matters.  It's like having a super sports card but never opening the hood. Public deserves to see how beautiful these cards are not just on the outside but inside.

That was absolutely part of nvidias decision to jack the prices way up. That and them seeing people buy the Titan V for gaming and benchmarking like its pricing wasn't utterly ridiculous.

I just re-watched the GN EVGA RTX 2080 FTW3 VRM, PCB, & Power Analysis by Buildzoid video. Didn't see anything looking like an R33 on the board....

Great video and very informative as usual with GN videos. This is 2080 I would still like to see 2080TI and/or Kingpin PCB. I presume there is difference in the layout and perhaps components on Kingpin since as stated in this video you can't use LN cooling on this 2080. Maybe there isn't a difference and would explain why EVGA is making AIO cooling on the Kingpin? So many questions so few EVGA staff answers as usual.

Thanks for finding this and posting it. Appreciate it :)

Gamers Nexus is reporting that there will be a K|NGP|N edition and that it will be a hybrid.

https://youtu.be/9u9tH2GQeQ4?t=71

I hope the card doesn't just come in hybrid flavor. I want my card to be on air only.

It's would be much much better if card arrive in both variants but Hydro Copper maybe should be priority.
EVGA simply need to launch Hydro Copper variant.
For GTX1080Ti K|NGP|N Bitspower made waterblock but original EVGA is much nicer.
Both variants definitely. Only Air cooler is very bad.

Maybe follow the person making them. You wouldn’t need to post that :-). Also, follow the up to date thread showing that both are coming.

Don't get carried away $2k is way to steep

I expect 1.799$ anything more is too much.

The very limited Galax HOF OC Lab WC Edition was 1.799$ and that already included a waterblock and detachable display and is overall a similarly beefy card that hits 2700MHz on LN2
