Cadred I unzip tracker v2 in a folder on my desktop. Then do a copy paste on the FAH GPU Tracker V2 out of the folder paste to desktop. I start it with that much easier then looking for it.

tracker is installed in the same directory/drive the install file is in so in most cases it would install to your download directory as a new directory what I do is move it to another directory(create and name it) or drive letter(like c: or d:) and then start the program - which self extracts into that directory/driveletter as a new folder called FAH_GPU_tracker v2 the actual working program will be inside that new directory

Hey Dev: Thanks. I downloaded v7, and it's running now. My puter is slightly faster than with v2, btw. The program was loaded in prog(x87) under FAH client. Much nicer than not knowing where to look for v2..... deep curtsy to Jedi for developing the v2 software With V7 I've gotten about the same ppd prediction as Zophar of 18556, which sucks (so thanks for telling me I've got one better piece of hardware than you do). hehe I'll watch for uncompleted wus, as was warned yesterday. I would love to get higher ppds, but I'm an artist, not a computer wizard, and am just happy to be two little gpus in a universe of computers that WILL make a difference.

Well if you follow what theb guys above are saying you can still use tracker. Myself, I had heard there was a performance increase for those that use v7. But it's good that youre happy with it, that's the most important thing. There are a couple ways to optimize v7 to get a few thousand more PPD out of it.

K... I'm in. Does my PPD estimate need to be exact? 'Cause it's all GPU and will fluctuate immensely depending on what WU's are assigned. Not my fault

They are actually Xeon equivalents that are in a server closet that I am going to be abusing. The company that owns the servers will never notice that I am folding on them as they are purely file servers right now.

ppd estimates are not needed - it would just give us an idea of how much PPD we might bring over that's all

I keep trying to think of any friends that have decent computers that arent being used to their full potential and sign them up for folding, but everyone I know has little POS laptops or desktops so ancient Im not sure if they would even do any good. My wife has one of those little netbooks and I tried to enlist that to the folding community, but yea...... have you ever seen a computer cry? I swear I did. After 6 hours with no progress, I had mercy and deleted the client.

Beg to differ all. If the owner of he equip does not consent... It is against the FAH rules. Get the equip owner's consent.

look sean if you want out that's fine... but don't let AB or anyone else push you out. Yes!! the team still has issues, Im trying to get over it and expect that you can't please everyone. The idea is to get along without pushing peoples buttons, but you know some one will. It's life , it's a fact, it will happen here or on any team. What will really help is if the team learn to accept everyone(even those get your goat) and still be able to help each other. ignore it... move on...it's the only way the team will survive
