But of course, droughnor. We're just waiting on Gandalf to stop combing his beard and to stop babbling about some guy named Magneto.

Are you sure your browser isn't messing up? Here's the link I just tried it myself.

Signed up on explorer, firefox won't work.  what is my eoc id?  and when will I receive my passkey?

Obviously I kno nuttin about nuttin.I downloaded the FAH tracker.  What models will I be aping out on?  Where do I sign up for them?  I have sli, but that doesn't matter I guess.   My rig is nothing special when compared with others here..... Sandy 260k 3.40GHz, 780ftw mb, 2x 560 gtx ti.  I only have 8gb ram, do I need more?  In crunching@EVGA you need a lot of space.  I have a 2tb hd.

I don't really know what else to do except to enter my passkey in the tracker and do my best for the team.

Thanks in advance.

What exactly do you mean by models? And no space is not as crucial as it is in folding, 8GB of RAM is plenty, thats what Im using. Im also using and old Intel Core 2 Quad6600 for my CPU so you got me beat by a mile. Have you started folding, already? If you have then you can go to this website, here. It is a complete index of folders, teams, a whole bunch of stats. Its really cool, and we kind of use it as standard to display points around here. I also suggest you spend some time in the folding forums. There's some very helpful  starter threads there that usually answer all the basics.

I don't know anything about crunching, but if you have a flag like the -oneunit flag in FAH, you can cleanly end your work unit.

depending on how big your boinc cache is, set it to "do not request new tasks" a couple of days earlier. Then you still have plenty of time to get folding going

I've looked up my projections for folding and I'm flatlined.  I don't like that at all.  I look at mmillions and others above me and think, how do I do that.  Do I overclock?  and how do I overclock without doing water cooling.  Complete noob about this.  Just built my system and afraid it will explode if I do something wrong  Can someone give me detailed instructions or information to squeeze every bit out of my system?

Yes it is, in fact everyone who still has a copy of last years's passkey is encouraged to use it.

So quick question, I noticed that you list your eocid on the signup sheet,

when I put in all the information for the client as in the setup thread, the eocid changed from mine to another.

Are we supposed to enter our own eocid rather than clicked get eocid on the setup page?

The EOCID asked for in the signup is your own personal ID. The new ID you receive is for EVGApes.

Re:2012 Chimp Challenge Sign-up Thread Monday, April 30, 2012 2:25 AM (permalink)
By models, I meant the experiments Stanford is working on; I've found that out.

One problem.  I logged off and I couldn't bring up my FAH tracker V2.  I had to install it again from my download files.  Where is it stored?  It's not in my program file, nor in my program (x87) file.  It's not in my list of installed programs either.

I don't want to lose it every time I have to log for some reason or other.

Thanks in advance

Ive never used tracker v2, but I know FAH v7 can usually be found in the startup menu under the programs list. That is if your using Windows. Does tracker have an option on install to create a shortcut and pin to start up menu?
