Hello EVGA community,

I currently run two GTX 1080ti founders edition in SLI (2way) with my Nvidia HB Bridge. I have a compact build with a Micro ATX motherboard (X99 EVGA Micro 2), my PCIE slots are both 16x16x and the cards hug each other when connected to the board (no space between them, no PCIE slot in the middle). My question is in regards to converting both founders edition 1080ti's to watercooling with the Hybrid kits (my case has plenty of room for the radiators to be placed conveniently) and allowing them both to be set up on my motherboard (cards hugging each other and hybrid kits installed to the PCB) with the Nvidia HB bridge or any HB bridge without any clearance problems, is this possible? Will both cards with the hybrid kit allow for such a close PCIE slot configuration to be possible? Will the HB bridge fit? Or any thoughts / concerns to this concept?

Thank you for your responses and help

Any tips are greatly appreciate!

You will probably need an evga hb bridge. Those fancy teeth on the nvidia hb bridge interfered with the tunes on the 1080 series cards.

I am assuming you meant "tubes" not "tunes".... Figures, between shipping, and this and that and the other thing, these 1080 Ti's nickle and dime me to the poor house.

    Everything should work fine.

Also is it possible to run the cards (Liquid cooler attached) with the founders addition shroud and not the EVGA shroud provided in the kit?

No, the tubes have to exit somewhere. You'd have to cut the holes yourself.

I mean would something like this be safe? Possible?

I don't believe you can use the FE shroud on the hybrid kit. You would have to use the mid plate from the FE and remove the clear plastic peice where the fins would be on FE cooler. You would also have to remove the pump cap to get the hybrid water block to fit. Some people have done it. It is much like the Gamers Nexus hybrid Ti mod recently published on their site. The hybrid kits are the way to go. You will get all the performance from the cards and alot less noise. I don't think you will have any clearance issues with any of the HB bridges unless you went with full water blocks on a custom loop. I have dual 1080 hybrids and love them but soon to have dual Ti's with hybrids. Most likely going to have to chop my 1080 hybrids because I'm not willing to pay an extra 100 dollar premium for a slightly different cooler.

No. You will need to use the provided shroud.

Isn't the 1080 hybrid cooler (the liquid cooler, pump, radiator, hoses alone) the same as the 1080ti hybrid cooler? The shroud is different but the concept for the radiator and pump (not the evga shroud) that is same right? I can't find any differences

You won't be able to do that with the Micro 2 motherboard as the cards will be sandwiched together.

Like this right? The close proximity of the cards with the coolers

Yes. Looks like it will work after all. I suggested using the evga shroud's as I thought the tubes wouldn't have enough clearance.

How on earth did they get the tubes to come out over there? Does the shroud go on both ways?
