When I got my card (1080 ti ftw3), I immediately put an EK block on it, and kept the backplate since it has thermal pads on it (necessary?). I prefer not having a light show in my room when trying to sleep at night and want a way to turn off the white "EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti" light on the backplate. I'm not seeing an option in EVGA PrecisionX to do this, but I might be blind. If someone could describe where this setting would be (or what software I need to turn off all the lights) or show some pictures where the setting is, that would be great, thanks.

The appearance led tab is what you're looking for. You can find the appearance led tab by clicking the following button...

My appearance LED is grayed out. What can I do from here? Do I need to enter in the GPU serial number to enable this? Bear in mind like I said, I'm using a full cover EK water block which meant unplugging all the fans and lights from the heatsink and fan assembly, but the backplate has its own light and its own plugin, so if the software is only reading to see if the heatsink lights are plugged in and disabling that if it doesn't find them, then thats a  problem.

Usually reseating the card/moving the card to a different pci-e slot will bring those two tabs back into working order.
