hello all, this is my first post
I have been testing bf4 beta and i have lag, especially i have too  lag when there is a lot of action. The strange part is that fps are between 50-80 in high video config (without filters)
my system:

Gtx770 SC acx (EVGA)
ASUS p8Z68v-pro
PSU: GS800 corsair 800Watts
i5 2500k Oc 4.3 (stable oc)
SSD 128gb ( 50 gb free)

I try with 327.23 and 331.40 beta drivers from nvidia and is the same.

The temperatures are very good: CPU 55ºC (playing) GPU 60ºC (playing)

any help?
thx
sry about my english level

Highly doubtful. My girlfriends CPU benches a meer 1.4% faster than mine and she plays without issues on a GTX 760...

I have seen this trend on some of the CPU's that are a few years old... not sure if this is the root cause of the issue but I can say that the BF4 BETA is extremely CPU heavy. Easily maxes out 8 threads (maybe more) on a modern CPU.

Another thing to consider... I have a friend who was getting slowdowns in BF4 in Win7... after he swapped to 8.1 preview, problem was solved. Not really sure if that is root cause or not as I have not yet tested win7 vs. win8, but just thought I would mention. And if it is root cause, I am really not sure why, the OS's are similar enough.

I'm running 8.1 RTM. With all in game settings maxed at 1920x1080 and 4xAA, frame rates stay above 90. I've also noted several using Win 8.1 seemed to have significantly better performance.

I have an I5 2500K @ 4.8Ghz and GTX 780 SC overclocked to ~1202Mhz.

I seriously (no joke) run the game on ultra preset with no problems ~70FPS. It dip to ~50FPS when I look at the hole C Flag place when they take the skyscraper but other than that, it runs perfect no stutter.

I alt tab to EVGA precision to check VRAM usage ~2600MB...... So I think that lagg you have with the GTX 770 is due to the 2 GB you are having.....

It's not the game guys....it's the VRAM usage.... especially if you have 1gb,1.5gb,2gb GPUs...

Re: BF4 Beta gtx770 LAG 2013/10/03 18:40:48 (permalink)
this is clearly not a "beta" - the code is done. This is a demo with the beta tag to give them cover. yes, they will fix some issue, but nothing major is going to change - better video perf hopefully being one of the things - but this isn't like it they woke up on when releasing the demo... "waaaaa?!?! this perf sucks.. even tho we've been working on it for a long time.. *shocked* we better fix this right now!" :)
perf doesn't seem to bad and i'm not even using the beta drivers with the updated SLI profile (the beta drivers broke 4k monitor support.. boo). But i am running windows 8.1
the only lag i noticed was server lag. a few of the servers have no business running 64 players :)

I try with 327.23 and 331.40 beta drivers from nvidia and is the same.

Try the 320.xx set. For some reason, every driver I've tried above 320 has done the exact same thing: good fps, but laggy as hell. 320.18's removed all of my lag. I hear 320.49 removed a lot of other guy's lag too; it's just for my rig the 18's are still the fastest.

331, 327, 326, 325, all bad.

I am sure the vast majority of you guys are playing this on an Intel CPU but I am curious to know how those on the AMD platform are faring with the game.

Personally I have an FX-8350 at 4.7GHz and using a 770 Classified so the comparison would be awesome. I know the beta is open now and I was actually able to play since the first "early start" I just haven't had time due to work but I guess a heads up would be nice before I jump into it tonight.
