i read that i would need some active adapter ??
 
i think the reseller have done something wrong, it should have been displayport also, but no

    Yes, you'll need an active adapter.

    Oh, well then the OP should use the DP Port then.
    The Subject Tile is a little hard to understand as is the post it's self.

    Make sure that PCIe is set to Gen3 in UEFI and also boot uses UEFI vs. Legacy or Legacy or UEFI. A reason i say this is that you might not get output from DP until you load Windows and drivers for it.
