EVGA has received some feedback from customers that are requesting to Step-Up to the ACX 2.0 model of the GTX 970 series graphics card and due to popular demand we are adding this model to the EVGA Step-Up program as an option! In order to assist customers currently in queue for the Step-Up we will be automatically updating all pending Step-Up requests for the GTX 970 ACX model  to the upgraded GTX 970 ACX 2.0 model . Please do not worry as we will make sure that your place in queue remains the same and the price will not change for the upgraded ACX 2.0 model GTX 970 graphics card.
Step-Up Queue Status Update:
We will be releasing products to the Step-Up queue starting this week and we will continue to release products as they become available until the queue is fulfilled.

Wow that's great news! Good thing evga realized their mistake in shipping acx 1 coolers and is at least making it up by upgrading them for free

Only real sad part is that I'm turning in my GTX 780 SC 6 GB for the GTX 980 ACX 2.0, I wanted to do SLI with my 6GB but the card in Belgium is practicly a goner (EOL).
And admit it paying 450€+ for a card that is beaten by a newer cheaper card .... (especially when I'm going for a 2K screen, that's why I went for the 6GB version).
 
If I could find a cheap second hand/refurbished card I'd even consider keeping it for SLI even if the new cards have more potential (and some even that is not yet unlocked)

Only one step up per card. You can't step up twice.

thats whats confusing..
 
if i upgrade my 970 SSC to a FTW that is 1 step up.
 
but now my 970 FTW is eligable for a step up to a 980 or that is not possible???
 
considering a 980 classy when they come out but know it will be sold out so I picked up this.
If I cant go from SSC to FTW to CLASSY I will just return the SSC to newegg or not step up to the FTW and wait...

I  expect my GTX 970 FTW earliest at Christmas. Stands on #169, in Germany.

Ahh I wish they had more 970 options when I chose! All they had at the time was the ACX 970 (now 2.0) / Titan cooler 980 lol.

My 780 Ti is on its way back to EVGA, I was approved this morning. Worth pointing out if you are in Europe you wont get a queue number, you will be pending until you are approved.
